I had a similar situation. My dog didnt need surgery but had been receiving alternative health care from a vet who practices Eastern medicine. When we told him that he immediately snub his nose at that and said he didnt believe in it! It has dramatically improved his health. We havnt been back to see Dr. Myrick but we have continued with the alterative medecine and have since found a vet who will work with our Eastern medicine vet! |

I had a similar experience when Dr. Myrick was at Willow Creek. He told me that my dog needed surgery without first exploring other options. From my research I knew the risks and wasn't willing to do surgery without first trying non surgical methods. I left Willow Creek and three years later my dog is fine...no surgery necessary. I felt that he didn't have the best interest of my dog in mind but was wanting money. |

Fantastic staff- Very friendly and personable! Dr. Myrick seems to be a knowledgeable vet, however, is offended if you ask for time to do research, or to get a second opinion. When my pet was diagnosed with a serious, yet not life threatening, problem- I felt I needed more information before going through with intense surgery- (which he insisted be within 3 days). Seemed I challenged his knowledge with my request. Apparently I offended him, and haven't heard from him (nor have I been back) since. Other practicing vets are very friendly however! |
