Click to report rating    2/4/12   5     5     5     5   This is the best vet I've ever been to. I've seen all 3 of their vets at some point, and liked all of them. They don't try to sell me anything I don't need, and the price to see the vet ($45) is a lot lower than other places in the area, and the service is much better. Everyone who works there really cares about animals. RID: 32009

Click to report rating    11/17/10   3     4     3     2   Vet was educated by pet food companies. Has NO knowledge or experience when it comes to holistic diets for dogs. Refused to feed my dog the healthy, raw diet I provided. Dog came home with diarrhea. WILL NOT GO BACK. RID: 20925

Click to report rating    2/3/09   5     5     5     5   We have been going to East Orange since we got our 2 chihuahuas (Pico and Coco) in 2001. Coco had one litter of 5, but we lost her suddenly in 2005 and they were so genuinely caring and sympathetic when we took her little body in to them for cremation. Now in 2009, we still have 3 (Pico and 2 of the puppies) and we wouldn't trust their care to anyone but Dr. Roden. He is the most caring and thorough vet you would every hope to meet. Since our pets are now like members of the family, he is the kind of veterinarian you would want taking care of your "children". One of the puppies, Fifi, has IBD and for a while we were taking her to Affiliated Veterinary Specialists for treatment. They were expensive, wouldn't return calls, etc. so we asked Dr. Roden to take over her care for the IBD. He agreed and we were so grateful. We know he spent a lot of extra time on this case so that he could provide the usual excellent care and we are so appreciative of his extra effort. Thank you, East Orange!! RID: 11467

Click to report rating    7/25/08   5     5     5     5   We just moved to another state, and have a different vet, but I have to say I *really* miss Dr. Perreault. He always respected what we had to say, he respected our pets, he admitted when he didn't know something (and even welcomed the challenge to learn more about our chinchillas and rabbits). Just before we moved, we had to take one of our chins in. He called us *after* we moved, just to check on our little guy. We were truly spoiled with him, and we will always appreciate having him as our vet. RID: 9444

Click to report rating    4/14/08   5     5     4     5   Dr. Perreault is a highly qualified rabbit and chinchilla vet. I recommend him to everyone with these pets. He's very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and he loves his patients. He will personally call his clients at home to check on his patients. He's easy to talk to, as well. He's in constant communication with vets across the country to compare notes. He believes the simplest explanation is probably the correct one, but if it's not, he will keep going until he discovers the cause/solution. He explains why he's proceeding the way his is, takes our thoughts and experience to heart, and involves us in every step of every process. He will try new methods of treatment, such as giving a chinchilla who has seizures Phenobarbital (which is rarely done). In all honesty, I trust him so much that I'd see him myself if I could! Click to report rating    8/9/07   5     5     5     5   Dr. Rhoden and all the other doctors and staff at East Orange Animal Hospital are wonderful. This facility has treated my 3 cats from the day each of them was rescued. Dr. Rhoden will spend ample time with each patient and is very good about designing a healthcare profile that fits your pet's lifestyle. He will only suggest the treatments that are most necessary, and will not try to "sell" anything that you will not need. I am truly impressed with this place and have referred everyone I know in the area looking for a vet. Two very big thumbs up to East Orange Animal Hospital, and especially to Dr. Rhoden. Thanks! Click to report rating    7/9/07   5     5     5     5   We have been very spoiled with the level of treatment that we receive at East Orange Animal Hospital. Dr Roden and the rest of the staff treat our dogs as if they were their own family. I can not say enough great things about the quality level of care and attention my dogs receive there. I recommend Dr Roden to every pet owner I know-- you won't be disappointed. RID: 5138

7/4/07   5     5     5     5   Dr. Perrault and the staff at East Orange Animal Hospital are amazing. My pups went there from 1998 until we moved out of state in 2005. They always gave Nikko & Cheeba so much love and attention. Dr. Perrault treated Nikko for his cancer and hyperthyroidism and also performed two of his surgeries to remove tumors. Because of Dr. Perrault I was able to get 6 more years with my baby boy. Nikko passed on April 2, 2007 and Dr. Perrault even put up a memorial page in Nikko's memory. Now that is an amazing, caring person. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Perrault and the staff for everything that they did for us while we were in Florida. RID: 5072

Click to report rating    5/30/07   5     4     4     5   Dr Perrault has been our vetinary since the facility opened. They care about their patients. My dog LOVES going there and knows that Dr Perrault is the treat master while there, he gets very spoiled. I also have 3 ferrets and Dr Perrault takes special care with them. He also does not charge a sitting fee for regular check ups to encourage people to bring their exotics in annually as well. One of my ferrets had a reaction to his distemper shot and Dr Perrault whisked him away, hooked him up to fluids and did not leave his side until he was stable. He didn't even charge me for the emergency treatment. I recommend this facility to everyone I know, and most of my coworkers go there too! They do run late sometimes, but that's because they are so thorough with each one of their patients. The staff is very friendly and the doctor will spend extra time to go over behaviorly recommendations, not only medical recommendations. I really trust all the doctors at this facility. RID: 4249

Click to report rating    2/3/07   5     5     5     5   I love East Orange! I was using Aloma Jancy until they gave my dog an infection and did nothing about it to help me. My golden retriever for years has been what we call a "speedbump" and had gotten up to 122 lbs. He was very lathargic, and didn't seem very happy. Aloma never gave me any idea of why he was this way so I just kinda accepted it. The very first visit to East Orange, Dr Graves almost immediately said that she wanted to check his thyroid because his size and attitude just didn't make sense. Turns out his thyroid was barely active. That was about 2 months ago, and he is now on medication for it. In those 2 months my dog has lost 13 lbs! And is now like a puppy again(and he is 9)! Everyone at East Orange is so friendly and knowledgable. I truely feel that Dr Graves has saved my dogs life and given me my true dog back!I would never go to another vet and am so deeply thankful to them.Choosing the right vet can save your pets life, and east orange is the right vet!
