Tells me I suddenly have a bill that was to be covered by a foudnation today on the phone $265.00 and was very rude to me. I am so devasted and lost now. I have a dog that has a knee dislocated and just feel like crying amonst he has the XRAY's. Was nice last year this year such a different story. I had to hang up as he was just so mean to me on the phone. Never have I felt so untreated. RID: 43100

Click to report rating    6/11/13   5     3     5     5   I have to say Doctor Sandlas and his staff are absolutely wonderful and very caring. We have called him a few times in the evening and he always picked up his phone. He has always told us if we need him he would come in and help anytime. He has always been very gentle with our dog and has always made us feel like he cares about us. I have been to a few different vets and have never had the trust in them like I do Dr. Sandlas. Thank you doctor :-) I would recommend this Doctor to anyone. RID: 43068

Click to report rating    5/11/13   5     5     5     5   Thank-you Dr. Sandlas! After taking our Boston Terrier to another vet for over 3 weeks and working through a differential diagnosis surrounding allergies for 3 weeks to no avail, Dr. Sandlas took one look and diagnosed her right away! He confirmed the diagnosis of demodicosis with a quick skin scraping and began treatment right away! Very astute! Thank you again, for helping our little girl! RID: 42428

Click to report rating    11/26/12   5     5     5     5   Dr. Sandlas is a very kind and caring person. We have a Labradoodle that has a bad ear infection and Dr. Sandlas has been kind enough to clean out her ears and put the drops in every day of the week (at no extra cost to us). His staff are great too. Very friendly and helpful. RID: 38718

Click to report rating    10/18/12   5     4     5     4   I really love this clinic, I appreciate the kindness of the veterinarian. He is very gentile with my dog, and actually remembers who his patients are. He will always find time to squeeze you in, even it means staying after hours. That kind of personal attention is rare these days, and I for one do not take it for granted. RID: 37913

12/31/11   1     1     1     1   I asked explicitly not to give my cat chlamydia vaccine and it was given behind my back. My dog which was supposed to have 29$ vaccination visit ended up with dewormer which he did not need and something else which ended up in 100$ bill for a healthy dog! The place smelled like a very bad place! After 6 years they still send me cards to come and do vaccinations with them - NEVER again will I come near this place! RID: 30171

Click to report rating    1/13/11   1     1     1     1   Dr.Rameez Sharma was a good doctor unfourtunatly some events took place and bad decisions were made. First of all De Clawing a cat is just awful, thats like saying human should have their fingernails pulled out. Now you can imagine what pain the poor animal went through. I believe both parties were at fault, Dr.Rameez Sharma and the owner. RID: 22044

Click to report rating    9/20/10   5     5     5     5   Dr. Sandlas is the most kind and caring vet I have ever met. We were new to Coquitlam and our dog Mary was sick for some time and the emergency vet couldn't find what was wrong. Once she lost her bark we knew something was seriously wrong, we took her to Dr. Sandlas. He was so kind and caring, and did everything he could. He diagnosed her with cancer, and our options we're go see a specialist or put her down. He didn't pressure us in either direction, just gave us our options and told us to think about it and let him know. He was even willing to come to our house to put her down, since I couldn't bare seeing her put down in a clinic where she would be scared. We did end up going to a specialist, which after 2 months she passed away. But he called regularly to see how she was doing. You can't find a better vet! RID: 19829

Click to report rating    8/18/10   4     4     5     5   Oh.k First of all I would like to tell all people here some facts. This hospital is now owned by Dr. Jagjit Sandlas. It has been under new ownership for over a year now. Yes the doctor who worked here got his license suspended but it was Dr. Sharma. But for a long time now Dr. Sharma has sold this clinic to Dr. Sandlas and the whole hospital is run by Dr. Sandlas and Dr. Sandlas alone. I am telling you all this because I use to take my lovely Rocky (Dog) to this clinic for annual vaccinations, earlier with Dr. Sharma it was always a mediocre to above average service. But with Dr. Sandlas I get all the information, Hes a nice guys explains everything in details and also the front staff is very helpful. The lady that works there has lots of extra information. Overall worth going there. Try it at least once. RID: 19283

Click to report rating    8/5/10   1     1     1     1   I suspect this vet is logging in and voting himself up so the ratings don't look so bad. He is well known in town as one of the worst vets around. He did have his license suspended. Do not take your pet here! RID: 19094

Click to report rating    2/16/10   4     3     5     5   I was forced to take my dog here as no other vet in the area was available and my dog was unable to pee. I was very pleasantly surprised by Dr. Sandlas - he's a wonderful vet, very sincere. He explained everything to me in detail, x-rays, surgery, medications, etc. Honestly, he saved my dog and took very good care of him for the duration of his stay. RID: 16638

6/22/09   1     1     1     1   When mt kitten was 8 weeks old I had her in for a check up and vaccine and deworming, Dr Sharma was so afraid she might bite him he pushed a full sized deworming pill down her throat with a long handled injector. He didn't look in her mouth, oe her ears and didn't listen to her heart I should have known he was useless! from the first meeting. However my kitten was injured and I rushed her to the closest vet in the area. Dr. Sharma kept her there all day long and when I went to pick her up I could hear her screeching in the back office, God knows what they were doing to a 12 week old kitten. I finally had heard enough and before I could go back there they came out with her and said her x rays of her leg were fine. She was traumatized beyond belief. BEWARE He might not be there any more (losing his license to practice) but I'm sure he still has input RID: 13253

Click to report rating    2/24/09   5     5     5     5   Dr. Sandlas is a phenomenal vet. He goes out of his way to provide the best possible care. I have never had anybody be so gentle with my dog and he has virtually put life back in him. I'm glad that he has taken over this hospital from Dr. Sharma. After what Dr. Sharma has done, he shouldn't be allowed to practise anywhere. Anywho, Kudos to Dr. Sandlas! The animals of coquitlam have a new savior! RID: 11816

1/13/09   1     1     1     1   the Vet that had his licence suspended Dr. Sharma who used to "own" the practice repeadedly used unnecessisary and agressive physical restraint methods that could have (and likely did) cause physical and emotional harm to the pets under his care ...YOU get what you pay for don't be swayed by cheap prices this clinic cut every corner possible years ago ald last i heard they still do! I wouldn't trust any vet there with my pet not even for vaccines RID: 11226

1/11/09   1     1     1     1   The vet there put my dog down without even an anesthetic. It was horrendous, the poor little lady wrything in pain and crying out...worst exereience I have ever had with a vet. The other vet in the office concur4ed with him in saying it was legal. I beleive this vet is now under investitagtion by the BC coolege of Vetinarians. However, he is still practising out in surrey I beleive. RID: 11142

Click to report rating    12/27/07   4     4     5     4   Hard to say about the price yet, but the guess-timate sounded reasonable. I was very impressed so far, as my own vet could not get my dog in today, even though it was for a recurring problem and the dog is very lethargic, in pain, and throwing up repeatedly. Dr Sandlas said he would see us as soon as we could get there. Since my dog is part of my family, I want the same first-rate care I would expect for my kids. If the service continues like today, we have a new vet! RID: 6781
