The spay neuter clinic is great and the doctor deserves a medal. The work they do is worthy of recognition. The staff is dedicated. This is an example of doing a lot with a little. |

I love this place! they have spayed/neutered all of my pets for a very long time. so thank you for taking care of all my babies throughout the yrs and making it affordable! you guys are doing a great thing. |

ATA is fantastic. I had my rescue dog spayed there and since she came to me with heartworms, and had to go through the treatment, I had them do it as well. They did a wonderful job and I would not hesitate to go back. |

The person who rated ATA on 5/8/07 has no idea what they are talking about. Dr. Lewis *is* a board certified surgeon who specializes in complicated surgeries that most private practices do not/cannot perform, and he is incredibly good at what he does. Many, many clinics around Austin use him to perform in-house surgeries that would otherwise need to be sent to specialists, and he has the approval and respect of everyone he works with. I know this because I am a vet tech who works at a private practice (not ATA) where he performs surgeries and I have worked with him many times. I would trust him with any of my animals. I would hate for the ignorant rantings of some disgruntled ATA client to cast a shadow on his pristine reputation. |

As a vet tech in the Calif, Wis, and Tx areas for the past 30 years, I have personally watched Dr. Lewis' surgeries as I wanted to see how he performed before I had my dog have orthopedic surgery. He is an experienced, caring, and, in my opinion, the most skilled surgeon I have ever witnessed as a technician. I disagree with the first comments totally. Perhaps there is a personality conflict. |

I totally disagree with the previous poster. Dr. Lewis and his staff have been absolutely wonderful to me and my family members(Dogs). I would NOT have any other vet do surgeries on my babies besides Dr. Lewis. |

Dr. Lewis is performing surgeries besides spays/neuters that he has no business performing. He is taking advantage of those who don't want to pay for surgeries to get a chance to do surgeries that board certified surgeons should be doing and then wonders why there are poor outcomes later. I will never use ATA again....only Emancipet for spays/neuters from now on...they are doing things the right way and are honest doing it. |
