It is difficult to rate LFAH. We have been going there for 17 years. The practice was owned and operated by Dr. Dilts, who is wonderful, dedicated, warm and sincere, and a very good doctor. When he sold the practice several years ago, it was evident that the new management was all about money. Some of the staff are the original, which are very nice, the other half come from Rutherford Animal Hospital and I find they are cold, bottom line money focused (The office manager Carol left and now there is Re, who does not belong working for an animal hospital, maybe a collection agency would better suit her.) If it were not for Dr. Dilts, we would have left along time ago. My beloved dog recently died there. I was told that she would be monitored carefully and when we went to pick her up,she died shortly after we brought her in the house.She was old and ill;however,whatever they did to her or did not do for her killed her. Her BP was not even taken that day, per Dr. Pla. Not going back |

I have been going to Dr Dilts for five years, but recently this practice has become all about selling and making money. I have been very disappointed with this practice for the last two years. It is next to impossible to get them to fill a prescription through 800petmeds as they want to sell the meds themselves. I literally have to go into the office and get the physical prescription from the vet. They also tried to get me to have my dog's teeth cleaned for $800.00! I paid $100.00 for a tooth cleaning in Bayonne. I will be taking my dog elswhere. Very disappointing and a stressful experience all around. |

Dr. Diltz has been our vet for over 15 years. He recently sold his business, and although he still works there, selling unnecessary services and products has become paramount. For example, my bassethound recently had one of her recurring ear infections. I am usually charged an office visit and the cost of the RX. This past visit, the usual ear wiping before the earscope was inserted was now a $38 charge - for one ear. She now needed an "anti-inflammatory" injection for $50. Of course, nobody discussed the additional cost until it was time to pay - $175 for the visit. On a previous visit, Dr. Diltz recommended "well dog" blood work (never had before) and it cost me $300 per dog (x 2). Of course, all results were normal. Dr. Diltz is not in charge anymore, and it's a money first operation. I'm so sorry - he was sooo good. |

Little Falls Animal Hospital has been the best animal hospital I have ever brought my little ones to.I changed vets many times due to lack of compassion, quality of care, and extreme prices.It is very clean and the staff is very caring!It is certainly worth the money!I have seen all 3 vets and my babies loved them all. When you walk in the girls always make me AND my animal feel very comfortable! I will never go anywhere else! |

LFAH is a great facility that's always clean when we get there and usually there isn't a long wait. Their staff is friendly and helpful and the vets are very knowledgable. Chosing them to be the vet for my 2 cats was one of the best decisions I've made in terms of their healthcare. A little on the pricy side, but worth every penny. And if you tell them you are on a budget, they will try to fit your budget - so they are thoughtful. |
