Click to report rating    12/6/11   5     5     5     5   My normal vet was closed so I took my pet in for an emergency on a SATURDAY morning and I was greeted and seen immediately even though there were in the middle of appointments. The doctor was very compassionate and the 2 techs Alex and Tony were quick and effective to getting my dog taken care of. They earn themselves a new customer that day :) RID: 29642

Click to report rating    1/19/11   1     1     1     1   I doubt that I will have enough space here to express my awful experience. I took my 12 week Catahoula mix to Aloma Jancy to be treated for Parvo. He was very very ill with severe vomiting/diarrhea. He was hospitalized in some of the worst conditions I have EVER seen. The building reeked of animal excrement and it was thoroughly disorganized from top to bottom. The worst part was, I NEVER met or even saw the vet. I only worked with the vet techs who seemed to be short and annoyed that I had so many questions. After losing 2lbs and not having any weight to lose he was released. He was only doing marginally better. Still lethargic with irregular eating/drinking habits. For lack of a better explanation, NEVER BRING ANY ANIMAL TO THIS FACILITY. My dog Louie was rechecked by them 7 days after being released. He showed little improvement. With the improper care of the insincere doctor on staff he has since been put to sleep. RIP Louie, we love and miss you. RID: 22197

Click to report rating    7/29/10   1     3     1     1   I brought my rat in this Monday for an abscess he has on this neck. I was in the waiting room for 2 hours before Dr. Murray even came in. He was sweating and speaking erratically. He gave my rat an xray but didn't tell me what he thought it was. He was very apathetic about the whole thing. He mentioned that it might be cancer but by the look of the xray it might just be an infection. He sent me home with meds ($130 worth). I was told to expect results (a smaller abscess) within 48 hours and a checkup call from the vet. I received no call and 72 hours later it had gotten worse. I called Thursday evening and asked if they could lance it, as I believed it to be a liquid abscess, and the girl on the phone said sure and that I wouldn't have to pay to come in again. He finally came in after an hour of waiting and told me it was probably cancer and that he said that last time. He never said that. He was rude and handled my rat roughly. I STILL had to pay for the visit and left unfulfilled. RID: 18994

Click to report rating    6/30/10   1     1     1     1   Please do NOT take your pet here if you have any choice!! We took my sweet cat Russell here one night because he had swallowed a piece of ribbon. The doctor decided to operate immediately, and 2 hrs later we received the worst call of my life that my angel was dead during pre-op from an anasthesia reaction. He seemed upset on the phone and possibly drunk, and could not even explain why this had happened. Later they tried to cover up the circumstances, overcharge us, and were rude to my vet when she called looking for answers! Then they provided a chicken scratch joke of a medical report. We then did research and saw that Aloma Jancy has an 'F' rating from the BBB. Dr. Murray has also had his license revoked in the past for drug abuse. I am filing a formal complaint to the state board and BBB! I wish I had called another emergency vet, my pet would probably still be alive! My normal vet was horrified at Aloma Jancy's practices and so am I! RID: 18599

Click to report rating    6/22/10   1     4     1     3   I have been going to this vet since it was a tiny shack like place. I have finally had enough. There was a point where Murry, although kookie was on top of his game. I know he has misdiagnose and seems apprehensive to use diagnostic testing or equipment to identify issues. The practice seems to take the broadsword approach and just swing enough and you will solve some of them. Most lately I have waited two hours before someone asked my name and then found they could not find my file (I had an appt), I am persistently told one thing to find that none of the staff are aware of it. I have called to validate they had the medication my dog needed to arrive, sit two hours, and learn that they did not 12 hours later. There is only so much I can lead this office to water and I bid them farewell. There was a point where they were cheap. . .this is no more. From my experience of 10 years with this practice. . .avoid going their until they get their act together. RID: 18504

Click to report rating    10/17/09   1     2     1     1   I took my Lab Colt into see the VET last friday after another dog bit him. We dropped him off on Friday night and finally got him back Saturday night. By Saturday of the following week his leg is infected and his wound is open. I return to the office and receive poor treatment from the staff, doctor is not in and I am told that I will be charged again to repair what was not fixed right in the first place. $500.00 dollars later and Colt is worse off than when we started. This is the second time this type of thing has happended. The last time he opened up my other Lab to correct a blockage in her stomach only to discover there was no blockage. Needless surgery. The staff is horrible, did not see the doctor at all. I plan to begin a charge back on my credit card as I did not get what I paid for. Avoid this vet at all costs. Your animal will suffer needlessly at his hand RID: 14836

Click to report rating    10/1/09   1     2     1     1   Worst staff! Completely rude and I heard some vulgarities come from the back room. The place seems like a dump and nothing appears to be clean. Avoid this place!!! RID: 14493

Click to report rating    3/21/09   3     5     1     5   All I have to say is that the groomer who was there last year was the best I had ever met!! Heather was kind, professional, and took care of my Westie like he was her own. I never was disappointed with her services and I wish I could find her now. The "person" who is there now as a "groomer" is nothing like her and the service is very different. Too bad. I have to take him 20 miles further now. RID: 12203

3/18/09   1     3     2     2   My initial opinion of this office was pretty decent at first. I know this is an animal hospital and should probably be judged by the service provided to your pet but as the pet's owner, I'm the one that has to deal with the staff there. While I was talking to the receptionist Ana, one of the techs (I didn't get her name but she looked like trash)walked up and interrupted our conversation to call Ana a "SPIC" for no apparent reason. Actually walked up and said that in front of me, the client! I was floored, just amazed at the racial slander and lack of human and professional consideration that woman had. How I would leave my animal there, i don't know? I cant even justify spending my money or even entrusting them with my pet's life. I told the receptionist that I had to go and couldn't stay. I took my pet and left. In business, a professional demeanor is necessary and in any medical environment, is the facet of which the DR.is measured. THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOUR PET. DON'T GO THERE RID: 12162

Click to report rating    1/20/09   5     5     5     4   This is not my regular vet, but I took my yr old yorkie to see Dr. Murray for an emergency. The ER staff was awesome, they took care of my boy right away. Even allowed me to sit in the overnight room with himuntil the meds kicked in and made him fall asleep. Dr. Murray phoned me himself later that night to advise on condition. Dr. Murray is there for the animals, not the people, so don't expect great social interraction, but expect thorough care. Day time staff when I picked up my pooch was rude and made me wait an hour to pay while they all milled around the front desk. RID: 11295

Click to report rating    12/14/08   1     5     1     1   This place is poorly run, bad staff (rude, un-educated, etc.), and super un-organized. The wait time is unbelievable...at least two hours you have to figure in when scheduling an appointment with Dr. Murray. He never shows up on time. We always get excuses from the staff. When he arrives, he is erratic, confusing, and seems to be very distracted. My first visit was with another doctor there, and that's why I came back. After three more visits with Dr. Murray, I've decided to take my pet to another clinic. You would be wise to do the same. RID: 10905

7/15/08   1     1     1     1   i have had to go here twice now and both times I waited for over an over each time. The staff didn't even notice me. Then after checking in they ignored me. Dr Murray was very very rude!!! He is very pushy and not what i ever expected with a vet. I am telling the truth when i say this, its dirty, staff & doctors are rude, and i will never go back. Please read about this place before you go. I have read about lawsuits and surgery not done to standards. I have one myself. hope this helps. RID: 9329

Click to report rating    7/1/08   3     2     3     3   I'm on this website looking for another vet because I have been going to Aloma-Jancy and I haven't been too impressed. The real reason I started going there was because it was less expensive, but it sort of makes me uncomfortable, so it's not really worth it anymore. The place always feels dirty and one time, the vet examined my cat with dirty hands that looked like they had blood on them. Come on, they're animals and not everything needs to be super-sterile unless it's surgery, but at least wash your hands between animals! RID: 9120

Click to report rating    6/29/08   1     5     1     5   DR. MURRAY DOES AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND TRULY CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS. ITS UNFORTUNATE THAT HIS STAFF HOWEVER DOES NOT REPRESENT THE SAME. HIS STAFF IS INCOMPENTENT WHEN IT COMES TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND QUITE FRANKLY HAVE NO MANNERS AND ARE EXTREMELY UNORGANIZED. ONE MAN THAT WORKS THERE HAD NOTHING BUT EXCUSES TO GIVE WHEN IT CAME TO DISCREPENCIES AS FAR AS TIMING AND FOLLOWING UP. HE WAS RUDE AND HAD NOTHING BUT SPART REMARKS WHEN IT CAME TO EXPRESSING MY CONCERNS. HE EVEN PUT SEVERAL PEOPLE INCLUDING MYSELF ON HOLD OVER THE PHONE FOR OVER 10 MINUTES ABOUT 5 TIMES. FINALLY I HAD TO GO THERE MYSELF.THERE WERE NO APPOLOGIES JUST STATEMENTS STATING THEY HAD EMERGENCIES. IT IS A SHAME BECAUSE THE DOCTOR SHOWS LOVE FOR HIS PATIENTS BUT MOST OF HIS STAFF SHOULD BE REPLACED. IF YOU HAVE PATIENCE YOU MAY SURVIVE, BUT HAVE YOUR PRICES IN WRITING. REMEMBER THE DOCTOR IS FABULOUS BUT HIS STAFF NOT SO :/ RID: 9090

Click to report rating    6/14/08   5     5     5     5   I have been a faithful customer of Dr. Murray for over 20 years now. I have NEVER had a bad experience with him, or his staff. I have had several emergencies and have been taken care of lovingly, professionally and quickly. He is not your conventional veterinarian...HE ACTUALLY CARES! I know for a fact he puts in over 18 hours a day, 7 days a week ... now that's dedication. His office is SO busy because his rates are 1/2 what other Vets charge and he is always willing to work with you on the cost. He truly LOVES each and every one of the animals in his care. My husband and I and all of our "babies" HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. MURRAY AND HIS STAFF and THANK them for many years of dedicated service. RID: 8889

Click to report rating    6/12/08   1     1     1     4   Do not go to this vet unless you have an emergency. We adopted our dog from a rescue group and were told to go to this vet for her spaying. We brought her in at 10 AM for a 2:00 surgery. They had many emergencies so they never did her surgery. We called at 5:00 to find that they postponed it until 9:00 that night. We called at 9:30 to find that they will do it the next day. We called many times the next day and kept getting put off. They even hung up on me. We picked her up at 3:00 and decided to bring her somewhere else. I think this vet is good for emergencies but not for anything else. They were absolutely rude. My dog was starving and extremely thirsty when we brought her home. This poor dog had been through so much before we adopted her. (Hit by a car, abandoned, tossed around to many different foster homes.) She did not need this added stress to her life. RID: 8860

Click to report rating    3/31/08   4     5     4     5   We have taken all of our animals to Dr Murray, including my brothers pit, who had gotten into a fight with our other pit. Dr Murray took wonderful care of our Heidi, she had to stay overnight but came home the next day feeling 200% better, this bill was 485.00, very resonable. I have been there with a friend whose dog was ill and would not eat and have seen Dr Murray get on his hands and knees pretending to eat the dog food to get the dog to eat. Dr Murray has done surgery on my friends Pug, which are difficult to put down, as we have lost a pug during surgery last time. Our baby Daisey came out wonderful, she is happy and healthy. The only bad thing I can say is we had one bad experience with a staff member but she is not there anymore and once we had to wait a couple of hours to see the vet but he had several emergencies come in and my situation which was upsetting to me since my baby was hurt was minor. A dog had come in that had been hit by a car who needed surgery. Thxs DR M RID: 7880

Click to report rating    3/18/08   5     5     5     5   Dr. Murry is not your conventional vet, but he cares. He may not explain things exactly cut and dry. His staff is very helpful and if you need them they are THERE!!! Aloma Jancey is not my primary vet, but I use them in emergency's and for surgery. Dr. Murry has NEVER dissapointed me in anyway. The new facility is amazing they made it so comforatable. Which is another thing they are good at... It does not matter what you are there for they try to make you as comfortable as possiable. If you do have to wait for longer then you are supposed to it is most likely because there is an emergency. Then every one helps and tries to make sure that emergency is taken care. In the last case where me and my family had to take our pet there the animal was basically dead by the time we got him there. Dr Murry & his staff worked quickly to make sure he did not die. There were people waiting that had appointments and for that I am sorry. But what is a few extra minutes? A life saved? Thank you Dr Murry RID: 7757

Click to report rating    2/14/08   5     5     5     5   I first heard of this vet from my friend who takes all 3 of her dogs there and spoke nothing but good about him. I needed to get my little girl spayed and update her shots. I was reluctant to do so after I read the reviews but decided on it anyway hoping my best friend was right. I knew what the facility looked like before the "make-over" and was absolutely surprised to see it now. It was so beautiful! However, I was most worried about the staff and how they would treat Pixie. I have to say that they were a delight to deal with. I called last minute and they still put me on the schedule. After I dropped her off I drove them crazy by calling every hour to check on her and they didn't mind at all! They told me she was good and she was already up right after surgery! I picked her up the same day and they decribed everything they had done to her and also what medicine was needed for her. I really appreciate their kindness and attentiveness to Pixie and myself. I recommend them to everyone! RID: 7328

Click to report rating    2/7/08   1     3     1     1   After a dog attack, we took our 9-year-old cat to this clinic. The techs who saw us (we never EVER sopke to the vet) assured us she had no internal injuries. They put her on IV fluids for shock and kept her overnight. The next day, with no word from them, we went to the clinic. The cat seemed to be okay, but they said they needed to keep her another night for another blood test (which they never did). After two days (and still no contact from the vet himself), the cat was released to us--with an offhanded comment that she had asthma. The cat's breathing was labored, and worsened over the following day. She didn't eat or drink, and her gums were white. A trip to another emergency clinic (and more x-rays) revealed a herniated diaphragm. Because of the misdiagnosis and delay, surgery was thought unlikely to be helpful, and the cat had to be put down. I'm running out of space to even detail how indifferent and unhelpful the staff were. PLEASE AVOID THIS VET AT AL RID: 7233

Click to report rating    1/8/08   4     5     5     4   Dr Murry and staff are very kind and they know their stuff. I take all 7 of my cats and my ferret to him and I always have been happy with the care given. When we where short on cash, they even took payments from us. Dr. Murry runs him self ragged working to help anamils. He is the best vet I have ever seen. Thank you Dr. Murry RID: 6894

Click to report rating    11/19/07   4     5     2     5   I have been to many area vets. For what Dr Murry lacks in social skills he makes up for as a very tallented vet. They will see any animal, is a 24 hr vet. Does things like give you the harmless 5 dollar dewormer but omits the 25 dollar test for worms. He was the only vet in the area that I feel has accurately diagnosed my dog's gimpiness, despite many's attempts by other vets. I have been there on many occasions where there wan a vet emergency and my 10:00 appointment became midnight very quickly. They just built a new facility that makes it much more attractive for newcomers. I would reccomed this vet to anyone with any pet. RID: 6458

8/8/07   1     1     1     1   Dr. Murray is not a good vet..He is very rude, quick, and doesnt talk to the owner...just wam bam thank you ma'am pretty much is how he acts w his clients. My 2month old puppy broke his leg and Murray didnt do the pin right so now I have a puppy w a lame leg. I have checked online and there are quite a few things against him like lawsuits. I can see why, he doesnt take the time w the owner, he just jumps on the animal. Very rude, always crowded, you never go in on time, your lucky if you sit for only 30-45mins... RID: 5532
