I very disappointed with this clinic. Were told the blood & urine test results'd be ready on Mon. Called; told that they were not ready, call back Tues. I rec'd a msg suggesting that everything okay&to call back & discuss. Wed the receptionist told me the test results weren't good, she has crystalluria. Left my work number. Worried, I started looking up her condition to do whatever necessary.
I've tried 8 times, no reply. On 4th, attempt reception asked me if our dog had started exhibiting symptoms. Spoke c/ a vet, he said there was nothing wrong & suggested he was not skilled enough to see what the other vet was seeing assuring me that the other vet would call me. I've req'd the results so that we may take her to a different clinic–one that cares, so she can get the care & attention she needs. I was promised I would have those results emailed to me today & again, they failed. My dog is suffering as the result of your complete lack of decency to even return a phone call. |

I was very impressed with Dr Alberto, he and all the staff I encountered were very professional and great with my timid dog. I felt that he had a great bedside manner and that he followed best practice standards in the care of my dog before, during and after her dental cleaning. He even called as soon as she had recovered from anesthetic which I was really impressed by since so many vets are "too busy" to even answer basic questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Alberto and Healing paws! |

Amazing clinic! Dr Maja took the time to thoroughly examine my new puppy and even spent additional time to answer all of my questions. I was blown away by everyone in this office...it does help that my dog is just so cute! This clinic exceeded my expectations which are high for service. Well done and keep it up! I was referred to this clinic by a work colleague and I can't thank her enough! |

xcellent vet clinic! Dr. Maja is knowledgable, trustworthy and takes a conservative approach when treating your pet. The staff and Dr. Maja take the time to explain and answer all questions. Dr. Maja was highly recommended to me when I first got my dog 7 years ago as a puppy. I first started seeing Dr. Maja when she practiced on the North Shore and now make the drive to Port Moody to continue seeing her when my dog is not well. I highly recommend Healing Paws clinic. The staff and Dr. Maja offer a personal, caring and knowledgable service. . |

Had a marvellous experience with my 9-y.o. dog at Healing Paws. The examination was extremely thorough. The staff went out of their way to make my dog comfortable e.g. cushioned him when he had to lie on his back for the x-rays. At first Dr Maja said we'd have to pay $250 for 3 x-ray views, but the first two gave her enough information and she said the third view was unnecessary so we ended up paying $165. The clinic also gave us 50% off our first examination (normally $65). No meds or services were imposed on us, and everyone we met at Healing Paws was really warm, friendly and open. They are indeed more expensive than our nearby clinic in New West, but my dog loved them and I appreciate that Dr Maja's strategy is to avoid strong medications with side effects (we were prescribed one at our local clinic) in favour of milder remedies so I'm okay with paying more. |

Dr. Maja and all of the staff at Healing Paws are absolutely amazing. It feels more like you are entering a home than a clinic. Well, a very organized and sanitized home! My puggat is highly reactive but responds so well to all of the staff and Dr. Maja which is a big deal since she is usually not to friendly when first meeting/greeting someone. She adores Dr. Maja even though a physical check-up is not much fun so that's saying a lot. I always have lots of questions and Dr. Maja always takes the time to answer them all with great thought. I never feel rushed. Ocassionally we have had to wait a bit for our appointment time but the staff is so friendly and the waiting area so pleasant that it is never really an issue. Plus I always know we are waiting because some poor animal had a health emergency. Dr. Maja also always provides me with more than one option when it comes to treatment, etc. which is much appreciated. I really can't say enough wonderful things about Healing Paws. |

We have been with Dr. Maja since Sunwood. She is so sweet and caring, really listens to my concerns and provides support for our pets raw diets. We live on the island now and continue to visit Healing Paws for our annual exams. |

All the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Parking is almost always ready available. The clinic rooms are bright, welcoming and clean! My labrador retriever was neutered recently. Alberto and Dr Merja, with help from receiving staff, worked with me to choose the optimum date for his surgery. His treatment, including two follow-up was excellent. Though a tough experience for my dog, I feel like he was given all means to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Labs are pretty demanding pets for the first months and having Healing Paws crew to help with health questions has been most appreciated. Thanks Everyone! |

Absolutely the best vet office experience I've ever had, the staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and always remember your furr friend. The vets are very gentle with my nervous dog and do their best to make her comfortable and calm, they don't ever try to push any unecessary medication or product and its very obvious that their only concern if your pets well being. Love this office! |

Simply the best vet in Port Moody. our bulldog has been seeing Dr Maja and her team since he was 8 months old. Dr Maja identified his allergy problem within one visit, and his skin has never been better since. He loves coming to see Dr Maja and Jessi is his favourite! I couldn't recommend Healing Paws more to anyone looking for quality vet care for their furry friends! |

This clinic is wonderful. I come there with my two dogs, who actually pull me to the door. (even on Sundays when they are closed!) They love being spoiled there...the attention they get when we come just for little visits to get to know everyone sure paid off. They don't even mind when they come for their checkups. I will definitely recommend them, I already do! |

I have searched for years for a good vet, after countless times feeling ripped off by other vets. Healing Paws is hands down the best clinic I have been to! They actually take them time to understand your concerns, and are very friendly and approachable. You will never feel "rushed out of the door" and I 100% trust them with my pets! This is my new permanent vet! |

I am very disturbed by this clinic. They operated on my cat and sent him home with my right away when it was obvious that he shouldn't be home. They wouldn't take him in the next morning without a huge fee even though he was clotted, no blood circulation and in severe pain. I had to take him to another vets where they told me everything that was wrong and how the surgery should have been avoided and could have been seen on the X-ray and that he should have had a food tube in him ( I was force feeding him for 30 days which was not working and having to sq him myself) They told me the best thing to do now was to put him down because his abdomen was severely messed up from the surgery and he was suffering. These people made the last few days of my companion painful and unbearable just so they can make money. I will never recommend them or deal with them again. They appear to be nice but its an act they don't care about the animals as much as they should.I could go on but there is no spa |

My dog has had a rough few months with dental problems, being attacked, and then having a severe digestive infection. Dr.Maya and her staff have been phenomenal! My dog absolutely loves dr. Maya and the staff. He used to hate going to his previous vet, but at healing paws he is treated with love and respect. Dr. Maya goes out of her way to put you at ease. One time we were just walking by her office and she saw us, so she came running out to check on our four legged baby to ensure he was recovering from his digestive system infection . The clinic always does a follow up call to see how he is doing...they truly care. My baby hates being in a crate, so when he is at the clinic the staff always give him lots of love to ensure he is happy while he is there. The treatment has also been first class! Our baby recovered fully and promptly under dr. Maya. He had no scaring on his face despite 2 puncture wounds. We give our highest recommendation for Dr. Maya & the staff at Healing Paws.Thank Yo |

My cat was sick with thyroid problems and with persistence by Dr.Maya and her wonderful staff, we were able to get her on to a proper dose of medication and she is back to her cuddly cat self. |

Dr. Maya and her staff are AMAZING!! Loved this clinic as soon as I stepped foot in it. The staff are wonderful and Dr. Maya is very knowledgeable. Recently, one of my puppies was attacked and had her flesh exposed. Dr. Maya and her staff were truly caring, loving, and supportive in my little girl's surgery and the recovery stage that follows. Will recommend this clinic. |

I was impressed with Dr. Maja from the first day I took my dog to see her. She has a genuine warmth and it is obvious how much she cares for her "patients". I appreciate her reasoned and balanced approach to treatment. The clinic is quite nice and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. |

I have 5 cats, ages 11 months to 19.5 years. The service at Healing Paws has always been excellent. Everyone is knowledgeable and very caring. I recently had to euthanize my 15 year old dog who lost her leg when she was a year old. Dr. Maya has been my vet most of her life and helped me keep her in good health right through her senior years. She was always very sensitive to our needs and provided excellent care. I drive from Surrey to Port Moody to the vet. I find the service that good. |

I took my cat to Dr. Maya for dental surgery, extraction of upper canine. I was very pleased until after the surgery. I find it quite disturbing that the staff was going to dismiss me and my feline companion after surgery without having spoken to the vet. I had asked to speak to the vet on several occasions and was finally able to after I had told them that I would not leave until having spoken to Dr. Maya. I just wanted to get information on what to do after surgery. Dr. Maya and I discussed alternative pain management and she told me what to remedies I ought to give to my cat but neglected to provide me with proper dosage of one of the remedies nor dis she tell me how long it should be administered which I forgot to ask at the time because I was very nervous. She did not provide any info voluntarily. I called back the following day, and the day after each time the staff told me they'd get back to me,but they never did. At this point I'm very disappointed in Dr. Maya and staff. |

I am from Vancouver, but I come here for my dog's vet visits. Absolutely the best vet by far, well worth the drive. All the vet techs are extremely knowledgable and Dr. Maja is a true sweet heart. You can tell that Dr. Maja truly loves being a vet, and she treats my her patients with a whole lot of respect. |

I very highly recommend Healing Paws. All of the staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful and they take a personal interest in your pet. The only item I gave less than a 5 was punctuality but it is not a concern to me because I know that if they are running late it is because Dr. Maja is taking care of emergent situations and taking the time to explain and answer her clients questions which is much more important to me than getting in and out quickly! |

Our 11 yr old Chihuahua, Charlie, would not be alive today if it were not for the extremly knowledgeable and caring treatment he has received at Healing Paws. Dr. Maja has successfully treated Charlie for obesity, collapsing trachea and is now managing his treatment for pulmonary hypertension. He is a very shy, nervous little fellow but completely loves and trusts Dr. Maja and has every reason to do so! My husband and I strongly believe that Maja and her caring staff of Kari, Jessie, Georgina and Holly are the best team in the Lower Mainland!Thank you Healing Paws for taking such wonderful care of our Charlie! |

My cat suffered from food and skin allergies for 10 years. After taking her to a vet who insisted on giving her regular steroid shots (which eventually caused pancreatitis), I took her to Dr. Maja who prescribed raw food. This solved the problem and my 14 year old cat is still healthy and happy. Dr. Maja is excellent! |

I have brought my Chihuahua to many, many vets in both BC and Alberta within the 8 years I've had her and I must say that I haven't been as happy with any of them as I am with Dr. Maja. I live in Vancouver and it takes me at least an hour's drive to get to Healing Paws and back, but it is totally worth every minute. Dr. Maja takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and answers all my questions in-depth. Like someone else wrote, I never feel like I'm being rushed out of an appointment, even when I feel myself that I'm taking way too much time up. I have absolutely no complaints about Dr. Maja and her staff, from booking the appointment to paying the bill. They are all very caring & patient and I feel that my dog and cat are both in the best hands! |

What a wonderful vet! The staff and vetrinarian are so caring. They have gone out of there way to help our little puppy. They took her in even thought they were all booked and were the only animal hospital that seemed to care enough to see her, quickly! Then took time outside of office hours to help. It's so hard to find caring people these days and I am absolutly thrilled to have found such a trustworthy and caring team. |

We met Dr. Maja in North Vancouver in 2002. We went to her for a second opinion after another vet diagnosed a simple infection in our 12 yr. old cat's paw as a rare form of cancer and suggested a myriad of expensive, invasive tests. He was almost 19 when Dr. Maja, while on maternity leave, helped us let him go. Dr. Maja is knowledgeable and caring. When our 5 yr. old dog was diagnosed with a rare terminal illness (GME), Dr. Maja spent countless hours of her own time researching the disease. Our dogs was being treated at Canada West, and although they were wonderful, the side effects from the medications they prescribed were not. We knew that the disease would eventually take our dog from us so we wanted to focus on her quality of life while she was with us. We turned to Dr. Maja, and a mix of traditional and alternative medicine. It was the right decision. We still live in North Vancouver, but go to Healing Paws because Dr. Maja, Kari, Jessi and Georgina are the best. Thank you Maja! |

These gals are amazing! Jessi at the desk is wonderful, Kari and Georgina truly care about their patients. Maya is kind, patient and caring. Not a money-grabbing vet! I know that my dogs will never be mishandled or mistreated and neither will I. I do not know what I would do without these people! Maya has saved my Basset Hound's life and has given my 16-year-old shepherd/lab the best care while keeping her fragility in mind at all times. Maya is honest and non-invasive and is the perfect vet if you are looking for something between traditional vet medicine and all-natural; she supports raw feeding and a holistic approach. If you truly consider your pets to be your friends and your family (not just a dog) then I would highly recommend these people. To put your best friend's life in someone elses hands requires a lot of trust and Maya's hands and her heart are trusted 100% by me. Dr Maja is fantastic, from walking in the door, to paying the bill (was not exorbitant), I have never felt this happy with a vet service. Jesse on the front desk is more than helpful and welcoming, Dr Maja is well informed and takes the time to explain everything. I thought that a test was needed, and instead of jumping on the money, she said it was not needed at this time. We are working on getting my doberman off Meds and on to a natural holistic product and it is working! I can not recommend them enough! |

Dr. Maja and her staff are amazing. Like the other reviewer, I've been to approx. 10 vets in the last 4 years. Dr. Maja is truly and amazing person and vet. She really does care and takes the time to listen and explain everything. Unlike other vets who either want you to feed veterinary diets or go raw, she actually worked with me to figure out something that works for my dog. I don't live in Port Moody, but I would drive to Mexico if I had to b/c Dr. Maja is truly one of the best vets out there. |

I have been to many different vets. This vet is the best one I have ever been into. In some vets you can feel like you are being rushed through your appointment but not here. Dr. Maya took her time to explain everything she was going to do and why. My cats had a rare infection and she found out what the problem was and cured them with the first solution! I would give them 10 points out of five if I could. My pets get better care than I do at my doctor! |
