11/6/13   5     5     5     5   I have always felt welcome and well cared for at theis facility. Each animal has been remembered and treated like a cherished pet. In 2 cases when I had to euthanize a dog, they came ot my home and did everything possible to help me through the difficulties. They are community minded and help animals in need that do not have the ability to pay. Their equipment is state of the art and the facility is very clean. My personal vet there is Dr Lauren Collazzo who is fantastic with her animal patients and their owners. I would and often do recommend this veterinary practice RID: 48097

12/9/12   5     5     5     5   Top notch, professional, well-run animal hospital. I have been taking my dogs to VACC since moving to the Cape and I wouldn't dream of going elsewhere. The staff is wonderful, they remember you and your pets and Dr. Burns and Dr. Collazo have helped me and my pets through more challenges than I can remember. I always joke with them that I wish they were my doctor too. RID: 38963

11/21/12   5     5     5     5   We live in Plymouth and happily drive the 45 minutes to take our dog(s) to Veterinary Associates. They are the best-equipped, most compassionate, most knowledgeable vets we've ever encountered. When our Foxy needed a splenectomy, Dr. Burns performed the procedure with a minimum loss of blood and Foxy was back to her usual self almost immediately. Foxy subsequently got mast cell cancer which was diagnosed almost immediately and thanks to their care, we kept her for six months more. When we got a new puppy, they took care of all the "puppy" things and now make sure she stays in the highest health possible. Coki contracted "suddenly acquired retinal degeneration" and Dr. Burns got her an appointment with the foremost specialist in MA the afternoon he saw her and made the diagnosis. She is now still the happy, bouncy dog she always was. We will never take a pet any place else for treatment or for boarding. VACC is the BEST! RID: 38619

11/19/12   5     5     5     5   Murphy's appointment went quite smoothly. He can be skittish so I appreciated his short wait time, and more active animals were led into exams rooms quickly. He remained calm for his exam. I also appreciated the detailed info from the vet explaining my options. RID: 38568

9/19/12   5     5     5     5   I have been using Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod for more than 6 years now. They have always been prompt, courteous and very professional. Their care has been excellent and issues well explained. They will always respond to my telephone queries with good guidance etc. Most recently they diagnosed cryptosporridium parasite in my golden puppy and treated it very quickly. I would recommend them to anyone on the Cape in search of qualified and caring veterianry services. RID: 37297

11/15/11   5     5     5     5   We have two Boxers and a Bullldog, this means we are there quite often. The staff is always helpful, caring and accommodating. The amazing staff has treated everything from UTI's, hot spots, cancer and a mysterious near fatal disease that affected our beloved male Boxer named Winston. Without Dr. Burns and everyone at Veterinary Associates of Cape Cod Winston would not have survived his illness. They worked tirelessly to treat him for what we now know was a bone disease called H.O.D. They even allowed us to visit Winston when he was too sick to go home. We are greatful to have such wonderful Doctors who really care about the wellbeing of our three furry children. RID: 29156

10/20/11   5     5     5     5   We have four Bichons - the Mann boys - two of which were rescued from Texas three years ago. The care that all of our guys receive at VACC is nothing less than amazing! They have cared for our two oldest (12 and 11) so well they act like they are still in their "teens"! the two rescues were treated like royalty from the very beginning. One had diabetes and bilateral cataracts. VACC got the diabetes settled down quickly enough for us to have the cataract surgery within the first several months which was life changing for Hopkins. The boys are always happy to see the ladies behind the desk (Meghan, Shirley, Karen, Susan, Cokie - we love you) as well as the docs (Michelle, Lauren, Dan, Robert and Tom we love you too) and the techs (Tracy, Kristene, Laurie, Heidi, Amy, Meghan, Jean, Holly and Chris - the boys really love you for being so gentle!). Everyone is so friendly they are considered family in our house and so competent they are considered nothing less than "perfect"! RID: 28459

10/5/11   5     5     5     5   I have been going to VACC ever since they were on Rt 28 in West Yarmouth over 40 years ago! When I grew up and had pets of my own I continued with them and have seen a few changes over the years ... all good.... The staff is wonderful and very caring. The facility is very clean and up to date! I especially loved when Dr. Burns came on board and held an open house which allowed everyone to see the behind the scenes facility! Since we have had dental work done on our pets in the past, it was very interesting to see everything. I have never felt rushed when discussing my pets with any of the Doctors and they genuinely care for each of them. As far as monetary value I have nothing to compare it to since I only go to VACC but it always seems fair. I highly recommend them and all of my friends who I have recommended over the years are also very happy. A+ RID: 28107

8/17/11   5     5     5     5   Reviews My MIL and I are summer residents in South Yarmouth and I noticed that my MIL's golden had been drinking a lot of water and she started to have accidents in the house. We took her to VACC and met Dr. Zarif who diagnosed Scully with Cushings disease. Dr. Zarif has been wonderful in explaining every step of the diagnosis, explaining the disease and our options and working to find the correct dosage for Miss Scully. I would like to thank Dr. Zarif and the entire staff at VACC, they have all been wonderful to both Scully and my MIL. If either of my two Goldens or my cat become ill I know exactly where to take them, VACC. I would highly recommend this veterinary practice to anyone looking for a good practice on the Cape. Click to report rating    8/13/11   5     5     5     5   We have been going to VACC for 20 years! The whole staff is wonderful! Shirley and Karen, at the front desk, have always been helpful and caring. Our first Shih Tzu, Kiesha, lived over 16 years. I know that would never of happened without the constant care she was given by the Staff and Vets at VACC. We trust every Veternarian there! I think we have had everyone, at one time or another! They are always updating their equipment, to make it easier for your pet. We continue to go there, with Mindy & Madison, our two Shih Tzu's, knowing they will have the best care available! RID: 26910

Click to report rating    8/12/11   5     5     5     4   Our Golden, named Ginger, has been a patient at Vet Associates ever since we moved to the Cape, from Chicago, about six years ago. She has been a patient of Dr. Clayton mostly, and although everyone at the office is wonderful, I suppose right now, having Dr. Clayton taking care of our aging dog makes me feel comfortable in the exam room with Ginger and the way he treats her with respect and dignity and the way he explains various medical issues going on with Ginger as she progresses in years. Lately Ginger has been seen for various skin problems and when she is in the car she knows exactly where we are going and gets very anxious. However, when we arrive, from the moment we step in the door, we are both greeted warmly by staff and usually seen within minutes of arrival unless there is an emergency which is then explained to us. When this has happened in the past (perhaps twice) the wait has never been long. We've been very satisfied with the care and response to our concerns at VACC. RID: 26886

Wellness visits are reasonably priced and if you were to need futher care they try to keep in mind your budget and provide the best care in all situations. I also love their Pet Portal service. Pet Portal makes it easy to keep in touch with the office and also you can order medications and have them delevered right to your door. I would highly recommend Cape Cod Vets to anyone who asked! Click to report rating    8/3/11   5     5     5     5   I have only the highest praise for VACC, particularly Dr. Burns and Dr. Labdon, who have taken excellent care of several generations of my dogs for 30+ years. Most recently my 9 year old retired show dog was spayed and her care was exceptional. She has recovered quickly and her incision, after only a month, is practically invisible. I very much appreciated the in depth explanation of procedures and felt very comfortable knowing my girl was in the best possible hands. RID: 26677

Click to report rating    7/31/11   5     5     5     5   Our family has been a client of VACC for over 12 years. It is a wonderful practice and all of the Vets and Technicians are professional, beyond competent, courteous, personable, kind, loving and often funny. The clinic is immaculate, pleasant and conveniently located. All appointments are timely and procedures and medication are recommended when truly needed. One of the worst experiences in our lives was the loss of our dog, Max. Experiencing this loss with the support(medically and emotionally) with everyone at VACC was one of the best experiences in our lives. The staff goes out of their way to accomodate any need and all are very proactive in the care of our two dogs, Duffy and Lilly. Our dogs have been seen by every Vet and although they are unique in their own way, we always leave with a great feeling that our pets were well cared for. We look forward to our visits to VACC. As a matter of fact, a visit to VACC is a treat! We rate VACC with a High Paw! RID: 26609

Click to report rating    7/23/11   5     5     4     5   The veterinarians and support staff are EXCELLENT and very CARING for their patients (and us owners). We have relied on their expertise as well as their kindness to make our beloved dog's treatment the best there is. I rated the punctuality a 4 because it is less than perfect; however, I believe the rating is not properly weighted. STAFF should could for much more (100 to 1) than Punctuality as a rating metric. It skews the overall rating to much less than it should be. Overall I would rate Vet Assoc of Cape Cod at 4.9. RID: 26407

Click to report rating    6/11/11   5     5     5     5   Since I first got my kitty 7 years ago, VACC has been my choice for all his health care. The doctor takes time to explain every aspect of his care each time I visit. As a kitten, he once ate a bee that wasn't quite dead. I rushed him to the clinic and was immediately seen by the vet who tended to him. Fortunately, because he is an indoor cat only, he hasn't had any other bad experiences. I would heartily recommend VACC to anyone who needs quality care. RID: 25552

Click to report rating    3/24/11   5     5     5     5   I have 2 dogs and a cat and one of my dogs isn't the healthiest puppy in the world. They have gone above and beyond what I ever expected to help him out. The staff is extremely friendly and Dr. Burns is amazing and very knowledgeable. I highly reccomend VACC. When my dog needs more than just an office visit (which is pretty frequent) they tell me the costs of each test before they do it so I know exactly what to expect cost wise. Some places are in a rush to get people and their pets in and out as fast as possible but not here. They take their time with you and answer any and all questions you may have. I highly reccommend them! RID: 23816

Click to report rating    1/21/11   5     5     5     5   I have been going to VACC since 1987.When I moved here to Cape Cod,I tried another Vet closer to where I lived;did not like them at all.I looked around for another one to go to & finally decided on VACC,even though it was farther away from my home.I could not have done better. They helped my previous dog(who lived to 15)and cat(who lived to 20 1/2) with their wonderful help. They are helping my dog and cat I have now.My cat is 5 & doing fine.My dog is 12 and without the help of VACC;I would not have her today. All the vets are excellent and I would not hesitate to use any of them if I had to;however, the main Vet I have from there is Dr. Lauren Collazo. I would not trade her for the world!!!!When Annie was 8,she operated on her twice for cancer & she is now cancer free.Last June, Annie just did not seem right.Dr. Collazo diagnosed her, treated her correctly for severe anemia. She just came off all medicine & was given an excellant prognosis. The office staff is also outstanding.Call VACC! RID: 22253

Click to report rating    11/20/10   5     5     5     5   This is the place to go with your animals on Cape Cod or the South Shore. The BEST. Dr. Tom Burns is compassionate, clear, presents clients with options, and loves his work and his patients. He is superlatively well educated and stays informed. The staff of this clinic are kind, knowledgeable, friendly and accurate. The facility is clean! They use every opportunity (walls, pictures, TV monitors) to educate owners about keeping their pets safe and healthy. They are always prompt and ready to see you. Recently Dr. Burns felt he was "missing something" with one of my pets, and saw her four times in as many days. He arranged a specialized test that figured out the problem, He always fitted her in when it was best for my pet and me, and then outlined a plan for addressing this very unusual and serious problem with great care and compassion. With 4 pets, I have worked with this hospital for ten years, and have seen many others along the way. This one is best of the Cape and beyond. RID: 20977
