Click to report rating    4/16/13   5     5     5     5   I have taken my Jack Russell Terrier to Alicia Pet Care Center for close to 11 years. I trust the staff and the doctors and have always had great experiences there. I recommend them to everyone I know with pets and would not take my dog anyplace else. They are experts when it comes to allergies - and they saved my dog from his constant foot chewing and misery. Such a huge relief for all of us! RID: 41793

Click to report rating    8/2/11   2     4     3     4   I would not recommend this vet. I took my girl there for a simple procedure and when I asked to be the one to hold her they would not allow me. I asked to have her blood drawn in the room with me and the tech agreed. She later came in and told me that the vet said I wouldn't be able to be present for procedures in the future. I asked a great deal of questions about the procedures as well as any good dog Mom. I later got a email asking me not to come back from Dr. Wheaton. He said my questioning seemed like I didn't trust the staff and I was micromanaging. No concern for my dog; only protocol. RID: 26648

Click to report rating    2/16/11   5     5     5     5   Dr. Wheaton and his staff are by far the best in South OC!! We have 5 pets and he is always fair, honest and concerned about the animals well being first. RID: 22918

Click to report rating    9/8/10   5     5     5     5   I drive 70 miles one way to take my doggies to see Dr. Wheaton and let me tell you, It’s worth it!! He takes his time to explain everything very clearly and covers all his bases by thinking outside the box. I’m confident that nothing ever goes unnoticed. I have found with other vets I have spent more money on BS in the long run and my dog’s medical statis still wasn’t solved. You definitely get what you pay for at Alicia Pet Care Center. RID: 19638

Click to report rating    6/17/10   5     5     5     5   Dr. Wheaton and his staff go above and beyond for all of the animals in their care. They truly do treat them as if they were their own--which is the most you could ask for in a veterinarian. Having had many animals treated at Alicia Pet Care Center, I can say that they are the most knowledgeable, caring vet team in Orange County! RID: 18429

Click to report rating    6/25/09   5     5     5     5   Dr. Wheaton and his team reached out and helped me when I found a dog that was in dire need of surgery. I found the dog dirty, emaciated, abused, shut-down, and with her eye hanging out, and damage to her jaw. He performed surgery on my dog for free until I could solicit enough donations to pay for it. All of the staff at the Alicia Pet Care Center are AMAZING!!! I wouldn't leave my animals anywhere else. Precious Life is now a part of my family, and loves cats! Thanks to the Alicia Pet Care Center for saving my dog's life! This was the only vet in the entire state of California that I could find to do the surgery pro-bono until I could raise the funds. They don't just claim to love animals, they really show it! RID: 13304

Click to report rating    6/2/09   5     5     5     5   We found the Alicia Pet Clinic while looking for a second opinion for a very nasty infection which our puppy came down with. Within an hour of bringing the pup in, Dr Wheaton and staff had him in surgery and did what was necessary. This was the start of a 6 days a week /6 week rehabilitation where the wound had to be cleaned and re-dressed and cared for, so we were quite familiar with the staff and the courteous and great job they did everytime we came in. The pup is now doing great and we credit the care that he received at APC. The follow up emails and correspondence also shows that they do care for your pet and its ongoing health. We highly recommend APC. RID: 12989

Click to report rating    3/30/09   5     5     5     5   Dr Wheaton and his staff offer a very warm friendly environment to bring your pets. The front staff are great, very friendly and warm ( and you dont see that at all vets), they great many clients by their first name and just make you feel welcome. Dr. Wheaton is wonderful with the animals, and will tell you how it is , which i definately appreciate. It is very hard to find a vet you can trust to care for your pets. And I will only refer people to a vet I would trust, and I highly recommend Dr. Wheaton's practice to anyone. With the special needs pets I have, i am extremely particular about what vet I use, and as an animal rescuer He tells you what he recommends, but he wont push or force you into anything you dont feel comfortable doing for your pet and/or financially.I would only take our rescue animals to a vet I trust as well, as they deserve the best care possible. Plus Dr. Wheaton is doing alot of good in the community with his Affordable Spay/Neuter Clinic as we so desperately n RID: 12298

Click to report rating    6/29/08   5     5     5     5   I highly recommend this clinic for long term dog & cat health care. We have been super impressed with their friendly service and persistence in sending reminders to schedule upcoming shots and check-ups for our Australian Shepherd as well as confirming appointments. We have been taking our dog to see Dr. Wheaton since she was an 8 wk old puppy, 3 yrs now. He gave us puppy intro, training advice, spayed her and gives her all her shots & check ups. Both Doctors & the staff in the office are warm and welcoming to both the pet and the owners. RID: 9086
