Firstly, the staff rating is ONLY for the veterinarian...the desk staff was lovely. The Vet was rude, disinterested, and dismissive. My cat had been puking his brains out for 2 days and refusing to eat (VERY out of character), the vet looked him over for 45 seconds before SHOVING him back into his carrier and saying he was fine. Needless to say that did not give me any piece of mind. He treated me like I was an idiot...and I have a bachelors degree in animal science and have been working with animals my whole life (including at vet clinics) so I'd hate to see how he treats everyone else. As I left he had the gall to tell me I should stop feeding "xyz brands like Blue Buffalo" (which is one of the top natural pet foods in the US right now) and feed Purina (WORST food on the market) or Science Diet (similar ingredients to Purina...but 10x the price!). People, if your vet makes this recommendation...find a new vet! This man needs to pick up a nutrition book not published in 1960. |

I agree the nurses were very nice but the doctor was a huge disappointment. I adopted my dog from a rescue about a month ago and this was her first vet trip. When she growled and tried to nip the doctor upon his first approach, he acted like he had never seen a dog act that way and flat out said "I'm not dealing with this" before giving me tranq pills and making me reschedule. The people at PetSmart can handle my dog - who was so obviously scared by the dr, the nipping was out of character for her - so much better than he did. He said we need to see a behaviorist, which she may, but he did not ask me for her history or any details about the dog. Right now my boyfriend's family is in town and we have 14 people staying in our house, and she has not demonstrated similar behavior with a single one of them. His lack of interest and compassion have sealed the deal for me. I will not be going back. |
