I have had my Cockatoo for well over 30 years so I'm very particular as to who treats her, they have to be the best. Not just normal Avian Vets but the DABVP Avian, and this place has 2.
I met Dr. Pilny years back at ACCESS Specialty Hospital in Culver City, where he cared for her. I loved the attention to detail he provided. After moving to AZ I needed to find another DABVP Avian vet. Doing research I found that Dr. Pilny had relocated to here
Recently my girl was acting a little off so I called and was plesed to find that Dr. Pilny had an open appointment that day. Dr. Pilny met me with a smile, handshake and hug, he remembered Marilyn. Did an exam, said she seemed fine which made me happy and recommended blood work to rule out any issues.
The blood work came back, Dr. Pilny contacted me statingm"Her Complete Blood Counts and Biochemistry Profile results came back completely normal and pretty perfect"
Great Staff, The Best Doctors that care, what more could a person ask for?

I've been bringing my elderly mother's bird in for veterinary care for over a decade and they have always accepted her credit card as payment but today they wanted to treat me like I'm some sort of thief because even though they've accepted that credit card dozens of times today it wasn't good enough. They actually want to jerk me around while I'm in there trying to get palliative care for my mother's dying bird so I will never come back to this place or spend another time much less recommend this place to anybody else again

it's not the facility, it's the vet you end up with. Not all vets were created good and caring.

I have had 10 birds and 2 reptiles treated by Drs Johnson, Lamb and Starks. Very competent, knowledgeable, kind and gentle. Ordered appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments. I recommend them highly and without reservation.

I have ferrets. One ferret Kristofferson recently passed away after being sick for nearly a year. After his passing I decided to search for a vet that was more familiar with ferrets when another ferret became ill with extremely similar symptoms. Thats when I found Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital. Exotics is actually their speciality, and from what I have seen they regularly do have quite a few ferret patients. Their facility is very bright, open and very clean. All the staff is very freindly and knowledable. I am giving this animal hospital the max amount of stars for the following reasons that really make them stand out for me. Once I arrived I never had to wait very long at all. We get a room almost immediately when we get in. The doctor seems genuinely concerned about your animal! My ferret was about to undergo exploratory surgery. I already okayed a test that would see if he would have any adverse reactions to the anesthisia.
