they put their income above the owners: Case 1: 11 yr old setter mix who is a loved and cherished family dog with irritable bowl syndrome -- they said that it is end of day and they can't do anything, must send him to emergency animal hospital (cost over $1000, of which they get a referral fee). I am broke, I say then it is time to put him down. They all of a sudden come up with alternative treatment: subcutaneous water, anti nausea medicine, and anti biotic - cost under $150 - dog lives another 3 years to a ripe old age of 14. CASE 2: 6yr old dog has cancerous growth closing off exit of stomach to intestine -- they do an x-ray. Don't review results with me -- recommends sending to clinic with cat scan (they get referral fee). During CAT scan results, expert asks if Vet reviewed results with me as it was obvious that it was a terminal case. Money wasted but lined their pocket CASE 3 - Insulin is 42% more expensive there than other vets (Profit for them)
