I made an appt and took my sweet 9 yr old dog to Dr Helland for a senior check up. He called to say everything looked fine but my dogs lungs sounded dense and he needed an ultrasound. Called me back, his lungs were fine. Called me again, said his heart had an arrhythmia and needed a "special" Echocardiogram. I said go ahead and do the test. He called me back again after doing the test to tell me he didn't know how to read it and if I wanted the results of the test, he had to send it away for a professional to read and it would cost more. After waiting two weeks for results, the test came back saying his heart was normal, normal, normal. It's unconsionable for a vet to take advantage of people who loves their animals so they can make an extra $500.00. I hope people read this and will avoid this clinic at all costs because the cost is high, both emotionally and monetarily.
