My dogs have always received the best care at this hospital. The staff is the best. Dr. Krishna keeps up on all the newest medicines, practices, etc. She does not hesitate to get down on the floor (if necessary) with her patients.She is very gentle and caring with both patients and their owners. I couldn't ask for a better, more caring, involved, patient vet for my very large Swissy. He is treated like a king by everyone at the hospital. Dr. Krishna does not hesitate to seek a second opinion if necessary. She & her staff are totally involved with your pet.

Dr. Krishna is super competent, a fabulous diagnostician, scrupulously honest, and best of all makes patient care her first priority. She is well known and respected by specialists within a 25 mile radius. She puts nervous animals at ease, but doesn't coddle her human clients. She will tell you *what your pet needs* you to know. She is open to holistic approaches. Dr. Krishna performs surgery as well as routine care HERSELF - your pet will not be passed to an inexperienced vet tech nor dragged into "the back". 95% of all procedures are done with you present. The waiting room at SSAH is a little cramped (though you rarely wait long), records and appointment schedules are not electronic (though you will get a printed itemized receipt for payment). All of this is because she runs her practice like a medical facility rather than a business. The care my 3 dogs have received at Silver Spring Animal Hospital over the last 2+ years has been SUPERB.
