Click to report rating    1/12/11 My dog had a seizure due to coccidia (an intestinal infection). Before his seizure I brought him into Banfield and was given prescriptions that I had to administer every 2 hours (that includes getting up in the middle of the night). THey also recommended pedialite bc it provides a lot of nutrients. He was better in a couple of days and I brought him back in for a check up. The doctor told me to not give him pedialite any more and that I didn't have to give him the medicine throughout the nigt. The very same morning I woke up to my dog having a seizure! I rushed him to the ER, $500 bucks and 8 hours later my dog was stable. They weren't even apologetic at all! These doctors really don't care about the dogs...money is money to them! RID: 21986
Click to report rating    8/10/08 Dr Daniel & his staff are incompetent. They wanted to clean my dog's teeth, but when I explained that she has had bad reactions to anastesia (sp?) they told me they used something different. I don't know how they know this because I don't even know the name of the stuff that was used in the past. Just another example of how the staff cares more about money instead of your pets health. Plus they refused to fax a rx for heartworm. Made me drive 25 miles to pick it up & then had the nerve to charge me $24 for the rx. That was the last time I went there & recommended that people go some place else. RID: 9633
Click to report rating    2/5/07 Beware of this vet who only cares about money...note: the wellness plans are a rip off...your dog could be dying(such as mine) but they will want to perform dentals, shots etc instead of taking care of the illness only because they only get paid for wellness plans if it is done before the expiration of the plan. If it expires the vet gets paid nothing. This is from an employee of banfield. I watched a pet die due to the neglect of its critical situation but the vet was sure he did a dental, x rays and all it's shots before it died 6 days later! STAY AWAY FROM ALL BANFIELDS IF YOU LOVE YOUR PET!!!! RID: 2661
