I took my dog in for a routine dental, and left instructions to call me if there were any problems. When I went to pick up my dog, he was in acute respiratory distress, going into shock. Dr. Vogl said this happened the moment I walked in. They recommended that I leave my dog with them overnight, even though no one would be there to check on him. Instead, I drove him to an emergency clinic, where he was hospitalized for aspiration pneumonia for 8 days. He almost died twice. While I have to wonder how my dog aspirated fluid, even if it did "just happen" as Dr. Vogl stated, the advice to leave my dog with them overnight was bad advice, and my dog would have died. The cost of the dental was approx $340, and approximately $5700 at the emergency clinic (they earned every penny and were wonderful). My dog survived, but it was a horrible week, and my dog's personality is changed. He was frightened very deeply.

I brought my dog in there for the first time for a dental. he was only 7 years old. Dr. Vogl never came out to introduce himself to me. The receptionist just had me sign paperwork and someone "from the back" came out to get him. A few hours later, I got a phone call that my dog died!! He was perfectly healthy when he went in! I don't know what happened and was basically told, "these things happen!" Do Not Go There!!

Dr. Murphy is the BEST. She is kind, obviously cares very much about animals and is always willing to do EVERYTHING she can to help. She definitely goes above and beyond. The staff is all very friendly too, even incredibly helpful over the phone. They have always gotten me right in at my scheduled times, and even on a couple urgent (not emergancy) unplanned visits they've gotten me in with minimal wait. I'm happy I can bring my pets to a group of people that care so much. I only wish I could find a human doctor with this kind of compassion, understanding, patience and demeanor.
