The Veterinarians at this Hospital were extremely knowledgeable, caring and helpful. They were especially wonderful with my two cats. I would highly recommend this Animal Hospital to everyone!

Ran costly, inconclusive tests on my cats. Told me they had FIV. I had to research this topic myself and actually inform the doctor about FIV, because the doctor did not know. Turns out, my cats had been vaccinated for FIV, so the test they ran was useless. Vet had all vaccination records so they should have known. Caused me unnecessary worry. Were unhelpful and unapologetic. Did not ask me anything about my cats' history, which would have been very helpful in ascertaining whether or not my cats were at risk for FIV. Thanks to the internet, I know more about FIV than they do, and had to explain to them the difference between a PCR and ELISA test for testing FIV, and tell them how the disease is spread, what cats are at risk, etc. Atlantic Vet Hospital specializes in expensive care like surgery, endoscopy and ultrasound; they certainly don't specialize in basic veterinary medicine. Save your money and protect your pets. Find another vet.
