The coldest and most uncaring people I have ever dealt with. Their only care is about "getting the money" and as much as they can possibly get. They will nickel and dime you to thousands! Outrageous prices! DVM O'Connor was very cold and abrupt when finally coming out to discuss our pets trauma. Support staff gave mis-info, apparently trying to bolster a case for more money by overstating an already bad scenario. When we asked to see our dog, the attendant spoke across the large open area to reception asking "did we gt their deposit? After she said yes, he told us we can see our dog then!!! Really! When I confronted him about the total lack of caring or respect, he began a verbal assault that lasted into the ICU, and in front of the DVM and included the statement "just see your dog and leave"! If this is what VCA is, then all our pets are in real trouble! They compared themselves to human doctors, but with a total disregard for any tact, class or "bedside manner"! Stay Away! Go to UCD

Lack of communication and poor attitude of weekend staff. Front desk was matter of fact and impersonal. The Dr on staff charged for services that were not rendered and when confronted, changed the charge to a higher dollar amount and left without an explanation. When asked why the sudden change in fees, the receptionist said, "she was being nice before,..." but when asked to speak to the doctor about the changes, i was told the doctor was busy and is not likely to come out any time soon. I told her i would wait for awhile. I waited 45 minutes. She never came out. Not likely to return to this vet any time soon either.

Reasonably Priced. Staff is overworked but they try. 24 hour emergency clinic as well as specialty services and general care. Really convenient but can be kinda impersonal sometimes because they are so overworked and used to dealing with wackos. (I used to work there). Overall I would definitely take my pets there.
