I still think about this vet visit and my blood boils. I took my cat in for a severe rash that was painful, itchy, and causing her to pull out her hair. First of all, the waiting room was so packed that there weren't even enough places for people to sit. It brought my cat in her carrier into close contact with dogs and children and made her even more distressed. But the worst thing was the actual vet. He was very aloof and seemed too busy to really focus, give information, or answer questions. He pinned her down and brushed her until she was convulsing and yowling. I'm crying a lot at this point because it's hard to watch, but I'm trying to believe that this is necessary although he hasn't explained why. He then tells us it's probably allergies. Gives us cortisone shots, which are unhealthy for her to be on for a long period of time (according to our new vet). That's it, that was the end of the visit. Turns out she has a serious bacterial infection. The Winsted Vet has actually helped.
