Beware of Dr. Malovec. Accused us of lying about our dog's behaviour. Our dog developed a wound/ulcer on her ear - external. It was healing but then seemed to flare up with her one ear becoming swollen and hot and the wound bleeding. He diagnosed allergies saying the inside of both her ears were "red and hot" We informed staff she has extreme anxiety They ignored the information. The vet tech admitted that the redness in both ears was likely from her high state of anxiety in the clinic. Dr. expressed anger with us that the dog "shit all over me and my staff" because "maybe she was afraid of the clippers". Then said she made this cut because of scratching. My dog never scratches & injured back prevents her from reaching her ears with her back legs. He accused me of lying and ignored the information provided to him. I asked for antibiotics. He completely fixated on "allergies" - cream for inside of ear??? Idiot! He was rude, incompetent and mean to my 14 year old dog. STAY AWAY!

While I have had issues over the years with them, overall I am satisfied with the level of care they provide. Their pricing however is outrageous! I just got a quote for my dogs annual shots/heartworm/heartworm pills and it was 25% higher (over $100 more) than the exact same services at Rivard. When annual shots works out to be $35 a month it's no wonder some dogs go without vaccinations and heartworm. I know everyone has to make a buck but that is a huge expense.

On Dec 14th at 5:30am our 14 year old dog had a stroke. I call Lauzon Clinic and was told by Tammy that the Vet would be leaving in 25 min. and to go to Walker Road. I was also told that there is no Vet on duty between 6am and 8am so much for the 24hr Clinic they advertise it is only has a Vet on duty 22hrs a day. When I call back that night Tammy the Vet Tech said they were in surgery that's why she told me to go to Walker. If this was true (which it is not) then why would she not say at 5:30am that they were in surgery in stead of the Vet is leaving in 25mins. Does not add up!. I also read her statement and she said she new I was calling from out of town because of caller ID. When I called at 5:30am I was using my cell phone, I used the house phone that night when I called back. She is lying to protect herself. On another occasion my wife brought my two Blue Healers in for their shots and check up she was told to put the dog who last weighed in at 110lbs on the scale. He was not all

I brought both of my cats to be neutered one was sent home the other had to stay.. the one died on the operating table and the other days later had gull stones I also had a friend who had her cat go in to be declawed and when she went to pick up her cat it's leg was amputated to the elbow say g the cat had a bad infection real sad cat was perfectly fine before she brought her in to be declawed

I've been there a few times and the receptionists don't acknowledge you. This morning I waited 25 minutes while she was talking to a person on the feline side about irrelevant issues and then to make matters worse she TOOK a phone call and we had to listen to 15 minutes of how the clinic will take payments directly from your bank and how to apply etc.. EXCUSE ME, you have CUSTOMERS sitting in the waiting room. The woman next to me had already been there about 10 minutes and wasn't acknowledged. Then guy # 3 comes in and someone comes out from back and takes him right back and didn't even look at us sitting there. I walked out

I had a great experience at this vet hospital. I had an emergency in the middle of the night and they were very helpful and kind to me and my cat. She is not the easiest cat to work with but the staff stayed calm and kept me calm too. considering after-hours, the price was reasonable. I saw a newer vet that was younger and very sweet to my cat. i personally would recommend them to anyone based on my time there.

Well i have been seeing Dr. Bernard last few years very nice and helpful. But my dog went in for his hair cut today and he won't be coming home soon cause the groomer snipped the tip of his tail now he needs a surgery. What kind of people are you guys hiring? Tell me why should I ever bring my animals to your clinic again?

My dog is 13 years old and I have seen the vets off and on. I have learned to pick one vet and always see the same vet when possible. There are positive and negative aspects to any clinic. Frustration can be the result when a pet is sick and the $$$ mount. The staff know me and are very accommodating and very friendly and caring to the animals. When I had a complaint it was rectified immediately. I find that they are well stocked with product. I like that they are available 24 hrs for emergencies. Normally they can see you that day barring any unforeseen emergencies. They have 10% senior discount on everything. They also have 10% discount when you have more pets than 1. I like the location as well.

My rotti had parvo virus and was stuck in basically a closet for 9 days, the closet had a cage too, for like a shih tzu...when he came out he had bed sores on one side of his body...they wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount for treatment, but thankfully I didnt have to pay a cent as my dog had the parvo vaccine and should have never gotten parvo in the first place. I had to go as far as getting the vaccine company involved to avoid paying for someone elses mistake...so ridiculous.

Terrible! More concerned about $$$$ than the well being of animals. The staff is extremely rude and the medical care is sub standard at best. The boarding kennels are like shoeboxes and the "yard" in which your pet is brought to defecate is a concrete slab that is hardly cleaned and full of feces! Disgusting!

As long as you get Dr. Gord Reiss, your animal is in good hands and your pocket book won't get hit hard either. He's fantastic with animals and is realistic. I do no trust any other vet at this clinic other than him.

The staff are very nice but they misdiagnosed our dog twice. Our animal was in significant discomfort for a week as a result. Finally another veterinary hospital correctly diagnosed and treated our dog. When contacted afterward, Lauzon would not reimburse us. I understand mistakes are made but I don't want to pay $$$ for them. Especially when my dog had to endure another week of discomfort.

STAY AWAY!!!! Reception staff is EXTREMELY rude!!! The vet tech who was supposed to be giving me the info before my dogs surgery didn't even take me into a private room, he basically stood in the waiting room in front of everyone and asked me to sign the consent without even going over ANYthing about the surgery except asking me to accept or decline the "add ons" like pain management & Blood pressure monitoring, each for additional cost!! Shouldn't theses things be standard care for all surgeries??!! There are so many caring vets in the city, don't waste your time or risk your animals health at Lauzon!!!!

I am surprised by the previous ratings. I have been going the Lauzon Vet for 10 yrs and I will only let my animals be seen by Dr. Gord Reiss. He is the best vet they have there. A matter of fact if Dr. Reis isn't on duty I won't even go in. My mother and father feel the same way and will only let their pets be seen by Dr. Reiss. I absolutely love his compassion for animals. Now speaking of the other vet there Dragan? Not impressed at all with him.

The Support Staff is amazing however they definitely have some questionable veterinarians? Especially Dr.Dragan we asked him a for a quote and he told us one thing and then it was another and he tried to put me down after he realized he was wrong and got confrontational and right in our face. I would definitely not recommend Lauzon Veterinary Hospital for this reason.

Brought my cat in with an ear infection and was very pleased with this facility, the staff was friendly and professional and the vet Gord that checked out my cat communicated clearly what was wrong with him and was very kind as he examined him. I was not up sold anything and spent much less than I expected. Thank you staff of Lauzon Veterinary, keep up the good work. I highly recommend this place.

My 8 year old cat had to get her front left leg amputated it was quit expensive but it was totally worth it. The sergeant did a real good job. She's still the same old cat she was but now we call her the super kitty! :) We are getting her stitches out soon and she's recovering super well, but I'd like to thank everyone of the staff members... Thank you!

these people are unbelievably unprofessional and unorganized. Took them 4 days to diagnose my dog with a deadly disease parvo.. Letting my dog in their care was the worst mistake i was in there every couple hours making sure my dog was okay.. i would go in there his cage is full of pee that hadnt been cleaned in hours, ****still in cage.. they had him isolated in a room where garbage wasnt changed and crammed. First day i went to check up on him the iv wasnt put in properly and he wasnt getting anything for 6 hours. i am displeased with the service. they are money grabbers. And the first time i took my dog in when he was itching his ears months before parvo they told me he had ear mites..which he didnt so i paid 130$ to only go back in there to have him diagnosed with an east infection another 140$ later. And i truly believe my dog caught the virus disease from THEIR CLINIC. I advice you not to take your dog in there, the experience was horrific. Save your dog and go elsewhere

This clinic has very nice Dr(s). and Vet tech the treatment was very pleasant and fast my pet has bone cancer and they had been helping me for years and any Dr. can follow their co-workers Dr(s). notes. So no need to wait for my favorite Dr. to be at the clinic. If I run out of Medication i can go after hours and refill my baby's prescription just need to call before so they can have it ready same with special food. My dog love to go to visit the clinic. Best of all open 24 /7 and they have free rechecks for my dog.
