Click to report rating    9/30/14 Yes, Facilities are Excellent. They should be based on the fees you'll pay. And the Puncutality - You won't have a moments peace, as they try to sell you on performing every test known to man. The Staff sucks, you can actually see the $$ in their eyes. They kept saying - "In a perfect world your pet would be hospitalized for treament. I'm 37 yrs old, never been to this perfect world they keep talking about. RID: 53819

Click to report rating    6/15/11 This animal hospital was there for me and my pet "Harris" when I needed them on a Sunday afternoon. My dog was having trouble breathing and this hopsitals emergency services, staff and 24 hour care save my dog's life. The female Vet was outstanding. Getting updates on my pet daily (7 days per week speaking with the Doctor, unlike my prior Vet would have me speak with assistants as he may not even have been there in the clinic) made the experience even better and more comforting for my family. I have recomended this group of Doctors to everyone with a pet if they want peace of mind with it's 24/7 day a week professional service. When quality service is given, well "you get what you pay for" VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!!!! RID: 25635
Click to report rating    5/24/11 ATTENTION!!! PLEASE BEWARE! I brought my cat here because he had gotten into a fight. He recieved surgery on his tail and hind paw. Two weeks later my poor cat was dead! Apparently he had FIV which according to the vet had been diagnosed in 2007!! They NEVER informed us of our cat's illness!!! We were told after be brought him back for a check up and inquired about the cat's change in behavior only then did they tell us he was terminal! They never gave us any options of any information about treating FIV. WE never knew that our cat was living with this desease. They just gave him a death sentence. On our final visit- they told us that it didn't even make sense to bring out cat home!! Please choose another VET!! There facilities are beautiful-but they service is Horrible!! Please GO ELSEWHERE!!! RID: 25197
Click to report rating    1/18/11 Although the office and facility is beautiful, the staff is incredibly rude. I brought my 15 week old puppy there for lethargic behavior after a rabies shot and 2 days later picked her up with a $1600 bill when i would call to check on her they seemed annoyed by my call refused to explain things and tests being done and the office staff said $1600 was not a big deal and one week later they still have not filed my claim to the insurance company...i refuse to ever bring my animals there again! Click to report rating    7/5/10 This place is the best animal hospital I have ever been to. After moving to the neighborhood I had a late night emergency and they were there to help me. They do cost a lot but no more then others cost but they are worth it and money should never be the issue except for the deadbeats below. RID: 18648

Click to report rating    3/26/10 I took my puppy there for a check of her leg. They told me she had a fracturd patella, ligament damage, hip and back problems. theytold me to leave her overnight for xrays ect. they gave me a $1047.00 estimate I left her there an when I gothome deided to go and pick her up. They refused saying they were closed. I would have to pick her up in the morning. I went in the morning and they gave me a $435.00 bill for things they alleged to do overnight. they would not give me my dog unless i paid. I called the police and they stated that they have been more times than not I was forced under duress to pay the bill. When i got home I looked at the tests performed and they were not even for my dog. They charged me for someone elses pets. I went to the district attorneys office and she strongly urges all of you to come to her office so they can contact the attorney generals office for their fraud and pay the piper. DO NOT GO THERE! THEY ARE THIEVES RID: 17242
Click to report rating    3/23/10 i settled with them in small claims court; they mislead you & when you are done the bill is humongous. everyone i have spoken with warned to avoid them. do not remember veterinarian but i must say she was nice. RID: 17190
Click to report rating    11/13/09 The absolute worst vets in the world. They will think of anything and everything to rip you off. Make tons of charges for uneccessary items the vet was rude and a complete jerk - they said my 11 yr old ridgeback would have to stay 2 nights without even knowing what was wrong. She fell down a couple of stairs so we were panicked and went there - she has atheritis and $2 THOUSAND dollars later we took her out after one night, they wanted to keep her another night to charge more money saying her blood pressure was high - YES because of the horrible vets there - I dealt with 3 different ones each one more terrible than the next - nothing was explained tehy never said when to give the table NOTHING..EVEN IN AN EMERGENCY DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG THERE. When my dog came home she threw up a very wierd looking tripe thingy amidst some dog food... PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE THE WORST VETS IN THE WORLD!! RID: 15307
Click to report rating    9/1/09 Had a number of bad experiences here, they tend to do a lot of unnecessary testing and procedures. My dog swallowed an ice cream stick, my regular vet suggested we wait to see if it passed, concerned we went here for a second opinion, they scared the hell out of us and next thing we were in for all kinds testing, an overnight stay, and a surgical procedure to remove it. Not only was all this very expensive, but to top it all off, they made us feel bad, practically blaming us for the incident. We are very careful with our boy and would go to the end of the earth to protect him. These people see that and take advantage of you. RID: 14083
Click to report rating    3/14/09 ATTENTION TO ALL took my 9 week old min. pin. puppy to this hospital and was shocked by the Outrageous behavior of veterinarian Karen O. Liss who's acts reminded me of a heartless butcher. I agree that some procedures can be painful for the puppies but first of all, a professional doctor MUST advise of the alternative ways of getting a test done, advise whether or not this procedure is necessary at THIS PARTICULAR time and ask if the owner of the dog is consenting!!! Second issue with the aforesaid veterinarian is that she seems to be "just doing her job" . This is not the only dog I have and I know from my personal experiense that even a painful procedure can be done gently and with care and that is exactly what I DID NOT see in veterinarian Karen O. Liss! Needless to say that I changed my dog's vet place same day and have a very serious attempt to write a complaint about her professional ability! RID: 12101
Click to report rating    12/10/08 This hospital is a RIP OFF!! Everytime I took my dogs here I would ask how much is all those tests going to costs and the Dr. replied "a small mortgage." THIS PLACE JACKS UP YOUR BILL! BEWARE STAY AWAY THEY ARE THIEVES!!! RID: 10863
Click to report rating    9/6/08 I went to the vet to check my dog's leg because it was a bit swollen and pink. I told the vet that I was assuming it was an insect bit but he convinced me that her skin was dead in that area and that she will likely need some type of operation. He guilted me in keeping her overnight to take xrays and blood work at night. He told me that by the morning he will have the results. I called the next day and he told me that the results of the blood work and the xrays were not in because the testing was not done in the night. There was no reason for my dog to stay overnight and after all the testing, including an xray in which my dog had to be sedated, the vet told me its an insect bite. The vet did not do the testing at night like they had promised me they would. This experimental testing that the vet put my dog and me through cost me $800. I was in the waiting area and heard three other clients complaining of the ridiculous cost and unneccessary testing. RID: 9917
Click to report rating    7/29/08 Oh my god, my puppy had a a rash, they took stool samples, blood test, cultures etc. Could not find anything for 6 weeks, my bill was already crazy. My friend recommended me to a vet of her's in 1 min the other vet figured it out right away, showing me proof under the microscope etc. Like magic i found the answer i've been wanting. She also took a stool sample and found gardia, while Central vet took it too but no call, no nothing because they say "if we dont call they your dog is ok, if we do call you then he has a problem.." WTF.. This place is horrible, the interns are great but the doctors change so many times you dont know who is who anymore.. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVEN IF THE PET STORE RECOMMENDS THEM. RID: 9496
Click to report rating    6/9/08 My dog was brought in by my neighbor who was watching our dog while we were away on vacation. The dog was overheated due to the hot weather and had vomitted. My neighbor was being careful and brought our dog into Central Vets. Central Vets performed several tests and charged my neighbor $1,600. They would not even look at our dog until they were given $1,300 deposit. Our dog had vaccination tags yet he was re-vaccinated. Worm test were normal yet he was de-wormed? We were never given a complete diagnosis from the Vet Doctor which would substantiate the extensive testing which was done? Chest and Abdominal Radiology tests? (normal) Urinalysis test (normal)Complete Blood Count (normal). Be sure to receive a full explanation of all tests and a complete written diagnosis of your animal before you committ to any testing. Ask for a full explanation from the Vet Doctor and not a technician. Because of this bad experiance we would not recommend this Veterinary Hospital. RID: 8798
Click to report rating    5/28/08 I use to work there, the doctors are all arogant jerks who treat the workers like dirt. This in turn caueses the workers to take this out on the clients. RID: 8636
Click to report rating    4/15/08 $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$You bring your pet in for a check up, and they say they sense something wrong. They quickly take your pet away from you and perform every test imaginable. After a few days you get your pet back and a bill for SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS. So what did they find wrong with the pet? NOTHING!!!! It seems to me that this place likes to perform as many unnecessary tests as possible. They are making a fortune scaring people and performing tests on completely healthy pets. They drag it out too so they can charge every imaginable hospital fee. Plan on remortgaging your house to afford these quacks. RID: 8099
Click to report rating    11/1/07 Applied for Care Credit weeks ago. We didn't have Pet Insurance for Mush (8 yr old cat diagnosed with a benign tumour of bleeding polyps in her ear) yet.Care Credit only gave us a limit of $1500, and this place I went to would not take that as a deposit. They wanted a more than half of the estimate-left as deposit. They said I can use my $1500 Care Credit but would need an extra $500 onto that or else they won't even consider the surgery! They want me to come in and place $2000 deposit down- which is more than half of the estimate! Estimate is $2626- a little over $3000 (I don't know how much a little over to them is, but figured $1500 is half of $3000 and would make a good deposit). The receptionist is always snotty when I call, I ! If u don't pay in FULL- they keep ur pet, even if u paid half.hey wanted to do the surgery that very morning! They did not inform me that they may do a possible surgery before I came. I felt so rushed and unprepared, as well did Mush. She had ate, was gon RID: 6339
