Click to report rating    11/13/21 On 11/20/21 my dog, Maddie, was dropped off at 7:45 AM Florida Veterinary Referral Center to get a CT scan to look at a growth on her thyroid. Aside from arthritis she had no outward appearing health issues. We picked her up a little after 6:00 PM as directed via phone call from the clinic. When we got there Maddie collapsed and couldn’t walk. My husband asked if we should wait in the lobby a little longer while she was monitored and the three vet techs trying to carry Maddie to us said no. Maddie’s eyes were bulging, she was panting, and her tail was not wagging. She did not know who we were. As it was clear Maddie could not walk after repeated attempts from the staff trying to hoist her up my husband asked a second time if Maddie should stay, possibly overnight. We were again told no. 1.5 hours after leaving the practice, Maddie died. The practice owners refuse to take our calls or speak to us. Don't take your pet here. Maddie would still be alive if we never went through those doors RID: 70166
Click to report rating    9/20/20 First the clinic did no harm to my dog nor changed the outcome of her passing. Dr Lang was the supposed expert but with thousands spent and weeks of uncertainty she could not find a tumor after doing scopes, x-rays, ultra sound tons of med and an eventual feeding tube etc. By her poor work she caused us to consider her diagnosis of bacteria and to treat the dog for weeks for that, when the dog had a tumor and cancer that was detected by another vet immediately. We were given false hope due to her incompetence and the ineptitude of the other vets there. With their advertising you would think the staff was well qualified but each thing they write about is smoke and mirrors. As a result of her direction we treated her inappropriately which ran up a bill, but she was never going to get better as the diagnosis was totally false. They did no harm to our dog and while she was there treated her well. It was the focus of her treatment that was flawed which gave us false hope. RID: 69543
Click to report rating    5/29/16 Horrible experience....incompetent doctor -very argumentative and helpless ..They basicly killed my cat .Never take your pets there if you want them to survive. RID: 60725
Click to report rating    7/19/15 FLVRC is the best animal hospital in Southwest Florida. I'm a very knowledgeable and informed pet owner, and I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else. Dr. Kim Goodrich is amazing , If your dog has to have surgery she will take wonderful care of you both. I find the care to be excellent staff to be very caring. And that's what's most important. Click to report rating    11/2/10 If I was rating only Dr.Para, I honestly can say," You couldn't ask for much more! very knowledgeable vet,& caring person,"BUT" one person can't do everything! Therefore because of staff neg. I was not Impressed. I will never forget my little Chanelle, she is truely loved, and missed. RID: 20621
