I witnessed an emergency animal die while waiting at least 30 minutes for care. After the poor thing stopped breathing "one" of the vets came out an proceeded to explain to the owner that there was no hope anyway, that took 5 minutes; could they not afford 5 minutes to put the poor animal down or administer something for pain. This is the second major lack of compassion I have expreienced at this vet. The first was when my rescue dog was refused overnight care during the second treatment for heart worms; the second injection is the most critical and dangerous, and while other vets request a overnight stay for this 2nd treatment this vet refused to keep Petey and made it clear it was because he was from the Humane Society. After verbalizing my thoughts (calmly) on the incident this morning they suggested that I go somewhere else. I only went back for convenience and only for boosters for Petey, shame on me.
