Needed my cat's prescription renewed within about 2-3 weeks. Called to renew my prescription and only got a call back approximately 8-9 days. Was told that vet needed to see my cat and that next available appointment was only in 5 weeks. I was told I could get my prescription filled to at least cover the time priod up to the appointment. Then got a call back saying that it was not possible. I asked what is there to do until then, what are the other options, I absolutely need to get the prescription renewed and could not wait that long. The receptionist who was extremely unsympathetic with me and judging by her tone of voice, could not care less about my situation, simply suggested I call another clinic.I felt abandonned by this clinic and am disapointed in their lack of compassion and flexibility. As the receptionist suggested, I am now consulting a different vet. Too bad, I kind of like Dr. Kader but I do not accept to be treated that way and to put at risk my pet's health.

This clinic is awesome!! Brought my two cats here after an awful experience at another clinic last year. I was very happy with the service. My younger baby has a eye site problem, which has not been diagnosed. Dr. Kader was very honest about the cost and informative about the situation and did not make me feel pressured into spending any money I didn’t want and I was honest about his opinion of what was/wasn’t needed. After spending over $1200 in two days of my kitten for a spay last year, it’s a relief finding a good and honest vet near by ??

I brought my 10 yr old Shi-Tzu Molly to this clinic for dental work. The original estimate included 2 teeth but Dr Kader advised it may be a little more or less depending on the length of time it would take (he thought about 1 to 1.5hrs).I never expected to get this kind of service for my girl. Throughout the whole day (6 + hrs) he phoned with updates. Surgery lasted more than 6 hrs vs the 1ish original thought to be required. He called personally for 3 days afterward to check in on her (which i so appreciated). As for as the cost of this surgery. She ended up having 13 extractions in total, prescribed medication and had an overnight stay. With the unpredictable length of this procedure I was actually a little worried about seeing the bill. The cost for this all day affair and over night stay was a fraction more than originally quoted. All i can say is, Absolutely Fantastic Team. Extremely caring, supportive and displayed so much love for what they do. THANK YOU team Kader !

Dr. Kader has been amazing over the years, especially those tough few years where my dog and I visited the clinic weekly! Clinic staff is absolutely fantastic, always able to magically "fit us in" for emergency care. I wouldn't trust any other team with my dog. The new establishment is beautiful, with ample parking and large wait areas, perfect for my nervous boy who appreciates his personal space.

I have been taking my dog for years and never once have any problem. The staff really cares about my dog's health, they always have the right diagnosis, treat my dog with love and take the time to answer all my questions. I want to thank Dr. Krader and Dr. Jenn Maxsom for all their support and interest in healing my dog from a severe allergy. I would recommend this Clinic to any person that really cares about the well being of their pets. Better service than our human health system !!!

We had been taking our dog there for years and never once have they given her a proper hip assessment nor we'rethey helpful in explaining why certain treatment would be necessary. We took her to a new clinic that was beyond helpful and now feel much better and feel more informed.

There is not a single negative word I could say about this clinic. It is HANDS DOWN the most amazing clinic I have ever taken my animals to. The love and caring they have for every animal that comes through their door is astounding. They are not about robbing your wallet. The services are very affordable and they give you as many options as possible when it comes to the care of your pet. We just moved 4 hours away, after 13 years, and not being near them is the saddest part of our departure. Despite distance, I love this clinic so much that we will be trying to coincide our visits with our pet care.

Have always had Awesome experience with Clinic Vet de Hull.. The staff is awesome and friendly and I would take my dogs no where else but here!! Dr.Kadar is amazing!!!

PLEASE DO NOT GO TO OR SUPPORT THIS CLINIC. My dog went in 8 months ago to have dental surgery (what was supposed to be one tooth turned into 3). Dr. Kader performed the surgery and had my 20 pound dog under anesthetic for over THREE HOURS. My poor guy was extremely sick following the surgery because of the excess time under. He was clearly manhandled during the surgery in a very rough manner. He had ulcers, constant vomiting, pure bloody stools following the 'minor procedure.' The receptionists were rude. At the appointment before the surgery, the receptionist was on the phone making a personal call for 25 minutes (this is no exaggeration) while I stood in front of her just staring at her. This clinic is so bad that I am pursuing malpractice charges in small claims court. My dog now has to go under AGAIN as a tooth adjacent to the one that Dr. Kader said took him 1.5 hours to pull is not loose because the root is dead. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. They care about $ and nothing else

Being on a fixed budget from Ontario, I was unable to afford to have my cat spayed in my own city, including the city funded spay and neuter clinic. I got quotes around 400-500$ throughout the region. When I called the clinic for a quote I was amazed that I was going to be able to afford this surgery. They quoted me 190 plus taxes. It was worth the 1 month wait and she is at my home now recovering. What a great experience from the clinic and I will be recommending this clinic to everyone. It is nice to know they are there for animals and not your wallet!! Good job

We drive from Nepean to take our animals here because the prices are reasonable and the staff is awesome. Dr. Lavoie is an angel. She is super competent and caring, and knows how to handle difficult situations with great sensitivity. One of the best veterinarians I've ever met.

Very unhappy with this clinic. They recommended a very painful and unnecessary surgery for our puppy just to grab a few extra bucks. They made it sound mandatory and didn't explain any of the potential complications. The discount on their services isn't worth the risks, stay on the Ottawa side!

My dog needed to have his ACL repaired and I went to the Clinique veterinaire de Hull for a second opinion. The prices were great, all my options were perfectly clear, and the service from the staff was excellent.

Dr Kader's ONLY solution to my dog's eye ulcers was a costly eye surgery after treating him for a month+. Went for second opinion and his eyes were completely healed with a $20 antibiotic cream. sent letter to Dr. Kader who has not even called texted or even acknowledged receipt of my letter. Nothing!!! Grew up with the clinic in our backyard and Dr Granier. Sorry to say but money is what seems to run the clinic now. Sad to see vets not using their medical common sense anymore.

I have been entrusting my cats to Dr. Kader for over 12 years...He really cares about his patients and responsible owners too. I've never had a problem with my cat receiving her cortisone shot for her severe allergies...It's been a life saver actually...otherwise, she would be scabby all over since it's very difficult to pinpoint an exact allergy in a cat without spending thousands of dollars which I don't have...but maybe making a different appointment for the cortisone might be wise so as not to invade their system with their annual shots at the same time...They won't charge the visit fee in this case, since a tech can do it...The staff is awesome & their prices very competitive..I have referred many people & none were dissapointed...They are a compasionate team & really helped me through hard decisions...making me feel better about the choices I made...

I was refered by a friend to go to this clinic because they had more affortable services. Went with my cat for her annual shots in January. The staff were great and very helpfull. The place is very clean and smells good. I didn't feel rushed as Dr. Lavoie examined my cat and answered the many questions I had. They will definately see me again next year.

I'm a bit disappointed has I've never met the Vet. I went there I only talk to the staff not the vet. When you pay close to $400 you assume that you can see the vet. I've also specified that I want advise regarding a problem, I paid for but never receive the advise....

I've taken my pets to three vets since moving to the Ottawa-Gatineau region, and I have to say that the Clinique is absolutely the best. The staff treat you and your pets like you matter, and I always feel at ease about what's going on with my pet, and how much it's going to cost. I took my cat to the emergency vet at Alta Vista, and I was absolutely appalled by the service there (the vet spent 30 minutes telling me that my cat was going to die no matter what, and then when I asked to put him down, told me that if I paid $1,500+, it might work for a little while); I know that I would never have had that kind of experience at the Clinique. I wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone I know.

We rescued a Siamese cat from a shelter and brought it to CVH and Dr. Jeff Kader met with us. He had his doubts about the cat but gave it his all. Today the cat is 15 years old and still living strong. This clinic has the best service, the receptionist was so helpful answers all my questions and more. Even the prices are amazing. Overall great experience for an Animal lover like myself.

I bring my dogs there still to this day they are the most caring and affordable place that cares for the animals they treat and they do what they can for ur pet they are kind and very interested in helping animals and I'll never go to another vet not only do they care for your animals they don't over charge you and they explain everything before they proceed and u can understand that they care the moment u walk in the doors not only do i bring my pets there but all my family members do to i would recommend this vet to everyone and anyone there the BEST ever jess and marc

I have taken my animals to the Clinique Veterinaire de Hull for the past 9 years and I have always had a great experience. The vets are amazing and the staff is great. I would recommend this place the anyone!

Took my cat for vaccines and Dr Kader noticed a swelling on his gums. He suggested a shot of cortisone, saying the only side effect could be excessive urination for a couple days. He gave the cortisone and the vaccines at the same time, which I found out later is something that makes the vaccine completely useless. Cortisone shuts down the immune system. The vaccine is supposed to trigger the immune system for the viruses. So there's no point in doing two things that are meant to have opposite effects... Apparently it's hard on the cat's system too. So he got sick, then caught an infection because of his weak immune system. Took him to a different vet, he's on antibiotics now and recovering. Not to say anything bad about the other doctors in the clinic, but Dr Kader made me lose my confidence in their clinic with a simple mistake like this. It's cheap, but not worth it if they do this kind of thing. Lesson: You get what you pay 4; avoid cortisone; and definitely cortisone&vaccines.
