I’ve used Dr. Clyde Pitts since the ‘60’s and would never consider using any other place. Sadly he wasn’t available the day when my last 19 year old dachshund died and THAT was the worst part of the day — really missed his expertise as I had to go elsewhere. My favorite doctor in any field!

The California Veterinary Board issued Citation #2658-C against Dr. Clyde Pitts, Owner of Studio City Animal Hospital, who fined based on 4 counts of Negligence and 8 Violations of Record Keeping, which, according to CA Title 16, Section 2043, "involve a person, who, while engaged in the practice of veterinary medicine has caused death or serious harm to an animal patient."
It is important that consumers be made aware of the risks involved in taking their pet to this Hospital. My case was so severely mishandled that it resulted in the death of my beloved cat. Dr. Pitts will not acknowledge any wrongdoing, based upon his refusal to respond to the Vet Board's request of him to address their findings (in the report).
It is incumbent upon a business to which consumers entrust their pets for medical care to provide the highest level of professionalism and competency. My case is definitive proof that these standards were seriously not in keeping with the guidelines set forth by the Sta

I am so glad they are nearby. I have never had a bad experience with this animal hospital. Both the staff and the doctors are stellar. They don't talk down to you and are thorough in everything they do.

Staff are friendly and helpful; doctors are excellent and knowledgeable about a broad range of species. They're expanding the hospital right now, so there's a bit of the construction hassle, but in the end that's certainly a benefit. They are on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for and in this case that's excellent service for your pets. We've taken my rabbits here for everything from respiratory infections to final euthanasia to boarding and never had a negative experience!

I wouldn't go to any other animal hospital. I've had the best results from them. They care about the welfare of animals and do everything they can to extend the life and well-being of both cats and dogs. I've been going there since they opened up for business and there was only one vet, Dr. Pitts. He's the reason I continue to use this hospital, the vets he hires reflect his values and his love of animals.

This is THE WORST pet hospital. They did a surgery wrong on my female pit and wanted to redo it and charge me full price again. I spoke to the owner...Dr. Pitts and he said "it wasn't his problem. These things happen." Unbelievable. The lack of compassion was astonishing. Go somewhere else.

extremely expensive, have to watch out not to be scheduled by the "bad doctors" all the time, unatentive staff, turned us down on an emergency call eventhough we had been going there for years, very unhappy with them.

Wonderful vets and staff. Been going here for years and have been so happy with them. We have three cats and two dogs and everyone has the best care.
