    | | 2/26/12 | On February 18, 2008, John Wooldridge operated on my dog for a cruciate ligament rupture of the right stifle and patellar luxation (luxating kneecap) of the right knee. Dr. Wooldridge performed a Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) to correct the cruciate ligament rupture. At the time of the consultation, he told me that he could make adjustments during the TPLO procedure that would at the same time correct the kneecap luxation. To my shock, some months after the procedure, my primary veterinarian was doing a routine recheck of the knee, and she asked me if I had decided not to have the kneecap luxation corrected because the kneecap was still floating. I couldn’t believe it. As Dr. Wooldridge had told me, I assumed that the TPLO had corrected the kneecap in addition to addressing the ligament injury. Flash forward to September 20, 2011. The dog was playing and then suddenly yelped and then shut down in pain. The dog started limping on the right leg. Dog had meniscal injury. bad! | | | |
