This vet is awful, I'm not sure on her name but it was a woman and she was just so rude to my mother, making her feel bad about our dog being sick. Her estimate for dental surgery was over $2000 after our paid checkup. Because of the price and attitude she gave us we decided to try Pembroke animal hospital. We were shocked the vet there came with only $1000 estimate for the same treatment. Do yourself a favour and stay away from here, the woman is money hungry and just plain rude, she didnt seem to care for our dog at all. The only nice thing we experienced was their clinic cat. I would give a 0 rating if I could

I have a dog with epilepsy and my other has bad allergies, these ladies love my dogs and treat them as their own. Michelle started with them and was amazing, they are there for every emergency which we have alot. Brittney is who we have been seeing now for the last few years and we just love her, when my 11 year old daugthers cat was put to sleep she sit and helpped my daugther get her over to the rainbow bridge peacfully, the love and care was like no other, the whole office feels the lost and saddness with you. I will go nowhere else ???

So impressed! While visiting my mom in Petawawa my Shih Tzu Zen got caught in a bur bush. I've dealt with burs in fur in the past but this time I was shocked to see Zen. She had burs buried deep inside and underneath her ears and chest. To make matters worse she appeared to be having troubles breathing. She was coughing and trying to bring up what I believe was a bur caught in her throat. I rushed Zen to the Petawawa Animal Hospital. Caroline was at reception and greeted me with a warm, wonderful and calming smile. Because it was a Saturday a doctor wasn't on site so Caroline called Dr. Brittany Kern to come in. Dr. Kern arrived with a smile and cheerful attitude. She examined Zen and provided services to get Zen back on her feet and happy again. While Dr. Kern was taking care of Zen, Caroline continually updated me on the progress with Zen. My fees were very reasonable and I was very impressed with the staff and how much they cared about Zen.

STAY AWAY This animal hospital is a big scam rip off. The woman vet (Michelle )that runs the place finds every excuse to bill you money for unnecessary services .She charged me $60.00 to re exam my pet which involved her just feeling his belly . Do yourself a favour and stay clear of the place . Total rip off !!

The staff are fabulous - go out of their way to be accomodating. Dr. Michelle came to my house to euthanize my cat, and she's been nothing short of excellent in treating my animals. Arranged for payments when I was short of cash, and did not prod when I didn't want certain tests done. Always pleasant. Wouldn' take my animals anywhere else.

First words that come to mind when I think of the treatment my dog got at the Petawawa Animal Hospital is, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! When Peter Ricctor owed it the place was great, the vets were top notch. But now that the new owner took over a few years back, it's terrible. They do all sorts of unnecessary tests that cost big dollars, and get no results. I spent a lot of money there until I got wise to what she was up to. My dog had a few health problems, after about 10 or so visits, and multiple tests she still didn't know what was wrong with him. It cost me around $4,000.00 to find that out. I finally decided to change vets, and voila the problem was diagnosed in one visit, and it was a simple treatment, cost me under $100.00. I later talked to a former employee that worked for Peter when he owned it, and was told that she does all these tests to make money, most of them are unnecessary, so she can then keep you coming back for check ups to make even more money. STAY AWAY!

Was un happy to find out this clinic ripped me off. my dog missed a year of vaccines and the following year they charged me for a double dosage for missing the year before. After doing an ivestigation of my own online and also inquiring on finding a new vet. All research and other vets told me it was unnessessary for double dossing my dog I definitly was ripped off.

This hospital frequently charges hundreds of dollars more than other vets. Many people drive 45 min or more because of the inflated cost. The vet insists upon unnecessary services;sedation for nail trimming when not required elsewhere, naloxone following sedation, at least one appointment in last year, regardless of issue is required before you can get flea medication). I have also found that they don't treat my dog well, and appear uncomfortable with him. He has no history of biting, but is a stubborn breed. They did make time for him during an emergency, and gave me some old towels for my car for when he vomited the charcoal he had to take.
