Due to covid they would not allow me to go in with him snd told I had to stay in the car and wait for the vet to call me. Less than 10 minutes later I get a call from a women who I assume was a vet telling me that as they took him out of his carrier he stopped breathing and that they had tried to resuscitate him but he didn’t make it. I was obviously beyond shocked because I never for a minute thought he was dying. I was confused and tried to ask a few questions and felt the person on the phone was pretty uninterested and was just trying to get me off the phone. No compassion at all. Then she starts going on about what I want to do With the body when at this point i was uncontrollably overwhelmed and grieving and I told her I can’t even think right now . She graciously offered to give us a few minutes before sending someone out with the paperwork. Very compassionate !
The absolute worst part of this experience was that this all happened while I was in the parking lot !!!

I have been going to this vet clinic for almost last 3-5 years know. I have pets all my life and by far this clinic is best in price, customer service, hours of operation and quality care. they are open 365 days of year up to 10 pm on regular days to accommodate for any emergencies,. I have seen all the vets but Dr Gosal is really good in surgeries. he did fracture repair on my cats legs only for $1500 when other clinic quoted me $3800. Dr Sharma i heard is really good in medicine. I met with other staff too and they are all really pleasant to work with and answer my question. if i have non emergency question i email/ test them and reply them on priority basis. Now all my family bring there pets here and they all have great experience. we are blessed that this clinic is serving the community without caring about money. Hats off to all the staff of Best veterinary clinic in Edmonton

I have dogs since last 30 years and Dr Sharma is the best vet I have ever been to, love him. This vet is so thorough and knowledgeable, he literally found a rare disease in my Yorkie which was missed by three other vets in city. For follow ups we met him at least 15 times in almost 1 year and every time he was fantastic, I have no words to thank him whatever he has done for us. With us , he was so compassionate, honest and upfront about everything. I can tell you with all certainty that this vet is transparent, would not hide anything and will always give you best possible advice he can! Some people just don't want to listen the honest opinions and right advice and I doubt this could be reason for negative feedback about him by someone. 3 of my friends see him on routine basis and they all are very happy with him. Also his office has amazing hours which work perfectly for me. Thank you Dr Sharma and amazing staff at Edmonton West Animal Hospital for taking such good care of Bella.

Dr. Sharama is singularily the worst Vet in the city. His clinic is advertised as being one the top 10 most affordable clinics in town but he charged almost double the usual going rates plus was quoting ridiculously expensive and unnecessary further testing. Upon asking pertinent questions about some of the previous tests results he responded with downright hostility and extraordinary rudeness. He has zero skills in dealing with people and is a terrible and treacherous human being which leads me to believe that he likely will not do right by your pet. Be wary and extremely cautious of this clinic and avoid Dr. Sharma at all costs unless you want to drain your bank account and be treated like crap at the same time!!!!

I took my blocked dying cat there. Not only they saved my cat but also it cost me half the price I was quoted at emergancy vet clinic. Definately recommend to anyone. The staff and the vet were all amazing and helpful. Hats off to all the team

I really don’t know if their 5 star ratings are accurate because I am having a very negative experience with this clinic. My dog was in for knee surgery and after the surgery she was not peeing. When I phoned them to see if they had any ideas about the reason why I was told that the vets are busy and that I should bring my dog in to stay overnight. I asked if the vet could phone me when he had time but they could not be bothered to phone back. The reason that I picked this clinic was because they said they were such a caring clinic but so far I have not seen this. In fact I feel like they are just ignoring me. They got their money from me and not they do not want to be bothered with me. People be aware of the reviews because I think if you post a negative review it will not get posted because I have tried three times to post and I can not find my posts anywhere

Best vets in Edmonton! I was looking for a hospital to bring both my cats in for their dental extraction and cleaning. I called probably all the animal hospitals in the city, and found EWAH to be the most affordable. Dr. Sharma and Dr. Gosal got the job done in very less time and money (still did an excellent job!!). The staff took really good care of my cats. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

went here with a rabbit who had a weak pulse/trouble breathing. The receptionist seemed to think we had time for setting up an account. Vet didn't touch her until we had filled out a physical form. He listened to heart and said "she'll be dead soon"+incredulously asked what we expected him to do when we were shocked at his uncaring attitude. Next vet 55blocks away tried to give oxygen and raise pulse before form filling(blue cross hospital/very caring staff)and vet, but after the long drive it was now too late to help her as she had a seizure on the long drive. Very unprofessional and unsympathetic staff here at edmonton west animal hospital and i wouldn't let them put a bandaid on a booboo for a future pet. staff at walmart would be as good at vet care as this clown.

Really good place. The doctor was very knowledgeable and took really good care of my dog. I would recommend this clinic to everyone... and they are quite reasonable too ??

AVOID THIS PLACE, don't fall for this poor care that I did.
My cat broke her leg and everything at the time seemed fine, I went through with surgery which costed $1500 and required 3 additional appointments costing $160 each time. Though after 6 weeks of "healing" my cat was brought in for final x-rays only to find out that her leg was broken again and now has a chunk of metal in it.
The doctors excuse was simply "she must have jumped and it caused it" I should have questioned what they used as a "cast" which I believe 100% is the reason her leg rebroke. All they did was wrap the leg and constantly have myself come in to pay to replace it, instead of a hard cast which from a second opinion after this fiasco suggested should have been used in the first place. Now I'm out of almost $2000 my cat has gone through hell and back, and I'm now unable to afford to fix her current condition and she's suffering.
Please do yourself a favor and do not bring your animal to this place.

Great vet and caring staff. They never compromise with care your pet deserve and still very low in price. All staff members works really hard so that people can afford the proper treatment for there pets. Highly recommend to anybody.

VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our rescue pup was abused before we got her. When we took her in to Edmonton West, they were so calm and reassuring that she was calm as well. Their kindness and gentle nature reassured both her and us. Though she was frightened of other people, they treated her so well that she was fine throughout the exam and treatment. I was so impressed that we decided to move there from our regular vet. Once we saw the bill, it was a sure thing! Their prices were the lowest we had ever seen. Later, we phoned to check some other prices with out old vet and Edmonton West beat them by over 50%! Fantastic treatment and the best prices in town. What more could you ask for?

Our little dogs needed a dental cleaning and possible extractions...other vets quoted astronomical prices and Dr. Sharma was reasonable with price and he is a professional, caring vet. I have no hesitations using this vet for all our family pets. Our experience here from start to finish was very positive. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
