I took my 3 yr old healthy cat for a routine dental cleaning and she had 3 extractions. I checked her in, never met the vet, and was told they would contact me throughout surgery to inquire about extractions. I later received a text message that Stella did well during surgery and I can pick her up in a couple hrs. Then about 11 min later I receive a phone call that she went into cardiac arrest and they've been doing CPR for 10 min with no response. Sadly, she passed. After reviewing the medical records, Dr. Debra Chen made numerous mistakes. She never addressed Stella's critically low blood pressure. Then after surgery she was not being monitored very closely because she was found on her side and her gums were blue. With the critically low blood pressure that was never addressed during surgery led to these complications during recovery. No one recognized her vitals, as they told me she was stable throughout entire surgery. They killed my sweet baby girl.
