Question why this clinic had no time or options for my eldest girl. Was told to bring her back the next day for more treatment if things didn't improve. But I was told there were no spots open for her when the time came
wouldn't take my calls and instead had assistants respond, offering to put her down over 29 hours from the time of the call.
Waited until I took her somewhere else to offer other options, only called back after a separate clinic requested her records
Doesn't understand they are dealing with other people's family members. Aren't just an animal coming to you, this was my family they had no time for
This is what they did for a pet they have been providing care for over the better part of a decade.
The owner of this clinic is about as unprofessional and rude as you can get, cares only about the $, and worried more about a bad review than a dead family member the morning after. STAY AWAY from this man and his clinic

Unsafe practice for patients and employees. I’ve seen the doctor hit the animals when he was frustrated with them. Do not bring your animal here. The doctor doesn’t even have any pets himself, he’s in it for the money. That is not what you should be looking for when it comes to your pets care.

Been coming here for almost 11 yrs. Attentive in the begining but over the years noticed a big declin in the clinic. They are more about the money than the caring of the animal. My dog went to the emergency hosptial & we were told the report would go to my vet. Vet didn't even call me to follow-up, I had to call, but they were quick to say they had after hours emergency care. They didn't care enough to call to find out how my dog was doing but were quick to say I should bring my dog to them for after hours emergencies. Month later I called Dr. Singh's emergency number TWICE telling them it was urgent and I believed my dog was dying. No call back to this day, so I took him to the emergency hosptial, sadly my dog died by the time we got to hospital. I'm digusted that NOBODY even bothered to call us back from Dr. Singh's office to find out what happened. Very unprofessional & empathetic. Conclusion they were always just about the money. I will NEVER go back & DO NOT recommend this clinc!

Dr. Singh is excellent, he's always been great with me and all my pets since 2000. But I have a concern, with proof, of a front desk assistant that is absolutely rude and underhanded with no need to be: Squeaky-voiced "T" plays oddly rude passive-aggressive games and has hurt two of my pets on separate occasions when they spent time there for $$$$. One of my pets, never nervous with people, was crying incessantly. I heard "T's" voice thru gritted teeth at my pet. Subsequently, kinda immaturely, she took her aggression from her frustration out on me, bizarre. I had an appointment to be there, yet she took her time, served others before me that were after me. Proof that she was being aggressive with my pet and pulling their fur 2x. On closer detection, is she on the verge of nepotism for her protection??! B/C y is she still there. I had to film with my video cam for proof. Will be posting video & appropriate info yet observe proper privacy considerations. Except for hers.

Dark hair female technician with high pitch voice is does not know how to smile..personal skills need training. Dr. Singh provides facts, but no recommendations unless there is monetary gain forthcoming. Their food is expensive and forced on you to buy without asking first.

Technicians are friendly & helpful but the Vets are THE WORST for greed and upselling.They care about money - way above everything else. Running a healing care facility for loved pets is way down on their list. Avoid these vets at all costs.

Overall the staff is very nice except the one girl with the squeeky voice, she is the over all reason that pushed me to leaving this vet. The prices are very high, the one doctor is a JERK, but the female is nice. Honestly if you care for your pet like it's a child of yours, find another vet this is not the place to go.

MONEY MONEY MONEY... More important that care giving. Botched a surgery and misdiagnosed kitten repeatedly... Stay away if you like your pet and bank account.

Have taken my German Shepherd there a few times. The staff was friendly, the doctors seemed knowledgeable, the facilities are clean and modern, but they push the upsell tactics on you on already overpriced services. They routinely quoted more than double of what it cost me elsewhere for some minor surgical procedures. This is not a clinic for ordinary working people, you'd have to be a lawyer or a bank CEO to afford it.

So when I called to get an estimate, the receptionist put me on hold after barely saying hello. It took her days to get back to me with the estimate. She wasn't very knowledgeable. When I went to the appointment I waited almost 45 mins for the doctor to show up. When she came she also had her daughter screaming. This seemed very unprofessional. The doctor then tried to sell me all kinds of things my cat didn't need and only seemed to want to make money. After a very unpleasant experience I decided to get a second opinion somewhere else.

I used to take my cat to this vet and they are willing to charge me $40.00 just to get my cats nails trimmed.

This clinic saved my dogs life. My dog had been deathly Ill and I could not afford the $3500 quote I was given for surgery the previous day by another vet downtown. In my search for something more affordable I found this place. They were amazing!!!! So professional, upfront, nice, and great with my pet. They acted quickly and my dog is now alive and well not to mention paying close to half the cost. I am so pleased I will definitely be returning.

i got the best care possible for my cat now deceased they took good care of traveller i miss him soo much he had dental problems all his adult life but his kidneys gave out i'm looking for a new kitty i'm lonely w/ out traveller. birch dan animal hospital have excellent staff. they take good care of the animals.

Dr Singh is a great surgeon. He has always treated my pets well for many years. I do miss Karol, who worked there for years. The new front office staff are not as knowledgeable or friendly.

Never again! This place is not there for your pet.....they are they for your money. They get you when you are vulnerable with your "baby" and try to sell you a lot of stuff you don't need. There are many more clinics in the area ...I a sure I will find one that cares about me and my pet....not just how much they can charge!

got a puppy but it wasnt my first. each visit felt like a cash grab trying to push bark collars,or hormone therapy. It was a bit much and made us very glad to not be new to the puppy world. we would have been broke! When it came time to fix the pup, tech was using a broken shaver blade and after more than 8 gashes across the stomach, they finally noticed. Stiches looked uneven and messy. Wasnt impressed with follow up from this situation either. or no follow up from our calls. After choosing not to do laser surgery, but rather standard spaying, they called while pup was "under" to see if I would change my mind and go with Laser. They'd work out a payment plan with me. After still saying no, they had to admit they already did Laser - unauthorized - but would still give it to me for the quoted price. We call it the **** shop each time we drive by. Needless to say, we've now gone elsewhere.

Awesome staff, awesome service, awesome experience. I took my male cat to get him neutered, they were very efficient and took care of him as if he was their own cat. The price they quoted me was exactly what I got, nothing more!

Dr. Singh and his staff made our first experience with a vet amazing! They were knowledgeable, gentle, caring and extremely thorough. We were expecting the fees to be much more than they actually were. We're so happy we found them!

Great clinic, beautiful facilties, equally attractive staff, and a gifted veterinarian. What more could you ask for. My family, friends, and I have brought our pets to this hospital for years. To date we have not had one negative experience with the doctor nor his staff. Most financially reasonable and caring pet hospital I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.

Dr. Singh is an excellent surgeon. My family and I have always brought our cats to Birch Dan Animal Hospital and we are very impressed with the service provided by Dr. Singh and his friendly staff. Dr. Singh performs thorough consultations and is a well-trained and experienced surgeon. He is very knowledgeable and approachable. We have never had any problems with the service provided by Birch Dan Animal Hospital. Dr. Singh and his staff are dedicated to providing excellent quality of care to their patients. I am very glad we took our cats to Birch Dan and I would definitely recommend Dr. Singh to anyone looking for an excellent vet :).

Dr. Singh has been our family's vet for over 12 years now. We first started seeing him at his old location years and years ago, and now come see him in his bigger building. We own a Boxer X and a Boxer, and love the staff at the hospital. The receptionists really seem to know their stuff, and so do the vets although we mainly see Dr. Singh. Some of my neighbours have started taking their pets there too with our recommendation and they have also been happy... and the prices are really fair as well. I would totally recommended him to anyone!

Very friendly staff, but the vets are afraid of dogs! Last time my dog didn't even get a proper check up. They tend to push vaccines and overcharge for them. BTW, my dog is a really friendly lab.

I had my two rescued females cats in on August 31, 2009 for spaying and vaccinations. Upon arrival the staff were warm and friendly, the facilities were clean and comfortable and punctuality was on point. I opted for the laser surgery which is supposed to speed healing and cause less blood loss. I couldn't agree more. When we arrived home, both cats lept out of their crates and began to play. I was shocked by how much life they had after an anaesthetic, and how quickly the recovered from surgery. A week or so after surgery I noticed that one of the two cats was developing a lump under the incision which caused some concern. One phone call to Birch Dan and we were back in again for a visit - A quick follow up taught me that some scar tissue had began to form and that there was little reason for concern. The vet didn't even charge us for the follow up. Fantastic service, and a trustworthy practice. I would absolutely recommend to pet lovers everywhere.

I have nothing but great experiences with this clinic. It is run very neat and looks clean and organized, but the prices are TRULLY fair. They do not overcharge and go beyond their responsibility to make both me and my pets feel confortable every time. Not only the vets but he staff as well is SO KNOWLEDGABLE and understanding. They offer many great services that I have used since I started coming to them in 1998. I still continue to go there, even though I recently moved all the way to Whitby! It is worth the drive to see these guys. I would recommend this hospital to anyone.

This Clinic is so good i trust them with my fury lil friend everytime we visit. The staff is great and the Dr'sare amazing. Im very happy that i have found this clinic!
