We went over to check out the 2 doge for a rash; he saw them for 10 minutes; charged $75 for 10 minute; claimed they had fleas but could not find any. Charged $80 for anti histamine - later realized I could get children's anti histamine in Walmart for $10

I am very grateful to have Metrotown Animal Hospital because my first vet experience was horrible and staff and doctors here saved my puppy twice from being overcharged. Great front desk staff- helpful and efficient. Excellent experience with the doctor who graciously worked around my budget. I gladly rescheduled for vaccinations at a later date as the condition of my dog was not good. Thankfully, my dog is much better a day later and I honestly LOVE these guys!!

I feel very sad writing this review, please please please DO NOT bring your baby to this clinic!! My dog recently had knee surgery here, I picked her up the next day and was told to come back in a week to remove stitches ect, not once did anyone call to ask how she was doing in that 1 week period and then when I came in a week later the front desk person took forever to find my file?? finally a lady vet assistant came and got my dog and took her to the back and for aprox. 8 min all you could hear was my dog yelping as loud as can be, everyone in the waiting room had their hands on their face in disbelief so you could imagine me, when they brought my dog out you could clearly see she was in so much pain and scared and when I questioned what happened the obnoxious vet assist was extremely rude & instead of calming me down she actually laughed in my face a few times. Ended up havng to take my dog to emerg that same night(pretty sad), they gave her pain meds which the clinic didn't even do

I have been using this particular clinic for around 4 years and have good and bad experiences with them, there are a couple of vets and out of all of them I find that Dr. Gant (might be misspelling) is the best for me, he takes the time to look my kids completely over and explains any questions I have, they are reasonably priced, but I do think think they need to be called on not keeping up with modern procedures. The staff are a little absent minded here and there, some can be quiet abrubt, some are nice, it all depends on who you get. I do believe that some of the vets are in it for the money as they push vaccines (not all of them) when not needed, but until something drastic happens I will continue to go there. Good service, Vet is wonderful (one of them) and reasonable prices, staff need to work on customer service.

The vets (esp. Tomar) are one of the WORST vets. They DO NOT take the time to get to know or calm your dog. They try to rush things even if there is no one after us. I took my dog for his annual shots (our 3rd and last visit there) the vet didnt ask if there were any other problems & muzzled him because he was freaking out. Well DUH, who wouldn't be freaking out when some stranger grabs you roughly and tries to stab you with needles so damn quickly?! He kept calling my dog "crazy" at least 5 times! Seriously, **** you, you are supposed to be a professional and try to de-stress my dog before you even start! Never once, had he tried to talk, pet or made any attempt to calm my dog. Over the phone, one of the female office assistants was rude & did not know what the hell she was doing. I was asking for the microchip ID so I could change info; she kept having to ask other people for help & when she finally gave me the #, I repeated it and when I made a mistake she exclaimed "NO, IT'S --"

The Doctor was very good, listened attentively and gave me sound advice. Their prices are super reasonable too. The only gripe I have is the girl at the front desk has a serious attitude problem and was having a very loud, very angry personal conversation on the phone when I walked in. Other than that, I'd recommend them :)

I brought my cat here for day care after he was diagnosed with a bladder disease and catheterized for a fully blocked bladder as the ER clinic that catheterized him during the night before is closed during the day. I had brought my cat to Metrotown Animal Hospital a few times before in the recent months with concerns that my cat was straining to pee and basically demonstrating all of the symptoms for this disease and was told by the doctor that he didn't know what was going on and that it was probably nothing and sent us off after taking my money of course. I blame Metrotown clinic for my cat nearly dying from his condition becoming so severe from not having been treated earlier, I mean this doctor never even gathered a urine sample! The staff are TERRIBLE, all of them. They never acknowledge the animals by talking, petting or reassuring them, they show no empathy for the animals. I almost lost my cat because of this clinic with it's bad staff and poorly organized practice! Stay away!

I have been taking my two cats to this clinic for years. Recently one had to be put to sleep and the other one died in my arms. The staff are so compassionate and professional. Dr Hans is a great vet and if I get another cat, I will continue to go back to him.

Doctor Harinder was a very kind doctor. He does not over-charge you. He asks questions and listens carefully. He even calls you to check up on how your pet is doing after the treatment. My dog Rika got better immediately after I brought her to him. I strongly recommend Dr. Harinder!

There is an East Indian girl that works here who should have been fired a long time ago. Whenever I call and she picks up, there are always no appointments available. If I call back and someone else picks up, I can get an appointment. She is very dense and can't seem to comprehend what clients are asking of her most of the time. Once someone came in and asked where they can get a dog in general and she blanked out. I had to answer for her. I've had to repeat my last name 4-5 times for her to try and find my file but in the end, she still failed to and got exasperated as if it were my fault. Shoved a pen and paper in my face and told me to write it down. She is also extremely rude. It's a shame because this clinic is under major criticism due to the incompetent actions of ONE employee. I dread whenever she picks up the phone as I know things will never go right. To the vets at this clinic - if you read this, please reconsider this particular employee, seriously!

I was not happy with this vet. Every time I came in they couldn't find my file and didn't know my dogs name. The doctor had my dog on steroids for way too long that it caused serious long-term health issues. - I have switched over to the Animal Wellness Clinic. – Be careful of Metrotown Animal Hospital. I fear they are motivated by money and not the love of animals.

I called at 8PM just when they were closing to ask if they know of another clinic that is open. Her answers to "check google"...thanks for nothing. I only imagine what the actual service is like.

I have been going here for eight years and have had nothing but great service. The front desk staff are kind and Dr. Hans is very compassionate. He has taken care of both my cats since they were kittens and was so kind when I had to bring my son's hamster in to be put down, because she was so sick. He is a good man...a lot of my friends take their pets to Metrotown because of the great service. Also, they do not ding you in the pocket book...another plus in my eyes.

The vet there is amazing. He was so kind and gentle with our cat. He was very thorough in his work and gave us great information all within a reasonable price. We're definitely going back and we highly recommend him.

I had a dog put to sleep there and they rate 100% for how they handled it. I also had a stray dog operated on and they kept the cost low. I would totally recommend them.

I've been going to this vet for 1 1/2 years now because it is the one closest to home for me. I have found the front desk staff to be totally incompetent at times (they keep loosing my chart and never seem to have a clue about what's going on). Dr. Hans seems good... but I did have a problem where my cats had chronic diarrhea and he couldn't diagnose the cause. I eventually figured out it was Tritrichomonus Foetus... and suggested this to him- he had never even heard of it! It quickly became clear that his knowledge of current medical issues and new treatments/testing techniques was pretty weak. I ended up taking my cats all the way out to Delta to see a specialist on TF. I will continue to go to Dr. Hans for vaccines and basic things, but for any serious health issues I won't trust him again.

Took my 20 year old cat for surgery there. I was very nervous about it, but Dr Hans made me feel comfortable. The surgery was a success and I would recommend this vet for good value & great care. Young guy at the front is a but unfriendly, but that would be my only complaint.

This vet had great prices, however the staff is very unfriendly. One gentlemen at the counter wont even stand up to talk to you, just calls out questions into the crowd and expects you to know he is talking to you. Went it with a young stray kitten who needed to be tested for feline aids. The vet came in, grabbed the kitten, did the test, and had us leave. Not a very good bedside manner. Will not be returning, as it seems they do not really care, and were really rough with him. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for.

They were amazing and very compassionate towards my animals!! My baby boy is terrified of the vet, the doctors here made it welcoming and home feling!! These are my new vets forever

I showed up at Metrotown with my cat in a box and no money - (he had just been hit by a car) - they did whatever they could to help me. Although my cat had to be put down - they were very nice, sensitive and just wonderful people. They will be my vet forever.

Even though their prices are quite reasonable, I'm not sure I would use them again. The receptionists are never really friendly - one of them has an attitude and never smiles. The vet are very traditional and upon speaking to them about current research being done on specific health issues, I discovered that they are not quite always up to date on their stuff. Being up to date is important as the medical field is always changing and what was considered safe for our pets back then is not always safe now. So, in conclusion, reasonably priced, lacking in the customer service department sometimes, and the vets really need to stay updated on current issues.
