Dr. Katie Ferris and her staff are the best! They saved my dog's life! What more can I say! Been taking both my dogs there for 7 years and never had a problem. Thank you Dr. Ferris....Sincerely, Paul Bedard

My dog broke his leg and I took him to Chestatee to get the cast put on. When I brought him home, He had terrible wounds on his foot so I rushed him back. They told me they "didn't see the wounds" thats why they didn't tell me about them. It worried me so I tried to talk to the doctor but he wouldn't get on the phone with me until I started talking about a lawyer. When I saw the xrays, I knew something was wrong so I asked to be referred to another vet. The bone pieces were not even touching. The Chestatee doctor told me that he should be fine. Once I got to a different vet, he removed the cast and my poor puppy had bandage wounds all up his leg that Chestatee "didn't see" or tell me about. Thanks to the new vet, my dog can walk. Thank god I knew something wasn't right.

My dog is diabetic. Dr. Orton has had my dog on Vetsulin. When my dog was no longer doing well on this medication, I was not promptly told of the problems that have now been linked to Vetsulin by the FDA. Instead, even though I informed the vet that my dog was exhibiting the identitical symptoms the FDA said to look for, Dr. Orton encouraged me to use the remainder of the bottle I had recently purchased and to buy yet another bottle. The FDA will not allow more of this medicine into the US until the problem is resolved. I believe the clinic should have notified pet owners using this medicine immediately so we might look for symptoms. Other clinics have done so. I have removed my pets from the care of this clinic.

Dr. Orton is extremely knowledgeable and truly cares for animals. He has performed surgery on both of my dogs and they are both happy and healthy boys! His staff is top notch as well, especially Mr. Lynn Davis. I have recommended this Vet Office to many people and will continue to do so.

these people will always find time to see you when you need help. Dr. Babcock and Dr. Orton are very knowledgeable and courteous. Excellent tech staff and front office personnel. Prices reasonable. Honest and reliable. They consider the patient first. You can't choose a better animal care facility.

My bird, turtle and I are always treated kindly when visiting the hospital. Dr.Rebecca Babcock and Lynn Davis provide excellent care, have a wonderful bedside manner and answer all of my questions thoroughly. The office staff is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this hospital.

I was new to the area and heard good htings about the vet. I have had great experience with me dog there...staff courteous and friendly and efficient. Hospital extremely clean. My dog has had checkups and a minor surgery and my experience has been great. I am very fussy about my animal care and I feel very comfortable with this animal hospital and the vets.

Dr. Orton has truly found his calling. Our animals love him. Our cat had to be hospitalized when the roads were covered with ice. Dr. Orton walked from his home to the clinic to check on him over the weekend. When our other cat passed away at home unexpectedly, Dr. Orton took time to answer all of my questions and give his thoughts on what had happened. We have since relocated to another state and have still not found a doctor that compares to Dr. Orton. He is the essence of a country doctor!
