Dr. Kornya is the best vet I've had in a long time. He distinctly shows extreme care for the cats he treats, even going so far as to call my little guy "handsome" and kiss the top of his head. He's always been very honest, and never had pushed anything unnecessary (including the food they carry) saying the cats were fine as they are. No need to change a good thing. The cost is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. When a friend had his cat checked up and then moved away, his cat became very ill. Dr. Kornya offered to speak both with the attending vet my friend's cat was now seeing, as well as my friend, about what he knew of the cat and what may help given that information. I will never change so long as he remains there.

Outstanding. Compassionate . They took on my dying cat and made his death so much easier for him (and me). He was euthanised at home on his favourite couch in the sunshine. Home visits are great for nervous kitties. I now have a young cat who is in heart failure. The vets at this clinic are extremely competent. They explain, and support the clients in difficult decision making. They never seem hurried and spend a lot of time with the cat and the owner. The vet techs and support staff are great too. They are extremely helpful in accommodating both my cats and my needs. These folks stepped in when another clinic turned away my dying cat who was a regular client. The cat clinic had never seen him or me before and were just as welcoming as iIf I'd been a regular customer and after that I became a regular client. . I can't say enough about the kindness and professional abilities of the vets and ancillary staff.

Awesome clinic! Dr Kornya saved my cats life! May cost a bit more than some other clinics but you get what you pay for and their care is second to none!

The Cat Clinic overcharged me for my cats prescription (and for who knows what else?) - I was buying my cats long term meds there for two years at $1 per pill and my new vet charges .25 cents per pill for the exact same thing! Hardly inspires trust. So while the vets at the clinic are very competent and caring, there really is no compassion for your bank account! If you like to pay more then you need to on vet bills by all means bring your cats to the Cat Clinic but at least get a written prescription you can fill somewhere else.

I am so happy with this place! The staff were all very kind & friendly. The environment is relaxed and makes you feel at home, kero my cat gets nervous in most vet buildings but he adjusted to this place very well. The vet Matthew Kornya was very kind to my partner, myself & kero. We were asked about the problems kero experienced & were listened to. The cost for all the needed procedures was what I expected & thankfully less expensive than estimated by a previous vet. It's a great clinic!

They saved my cat! He was diagnosed with feline urinary tract disease, and he was a bad case. He was blocked and couldn't pee, even after several things that were attempted. But they wouldn't give up. That's such a stressful time for a cat owner, both emotionally and financially. They did everything they could, and took such good care of him, not to mention, helped me keep my bill minimal. He had to stay overnight for a while, and on weekends, he was transferred from the Ancaster location to the Concession location to ensure he's always monitored. The staff and the vets are amazing. They truly care about helping your cat. I'm not sure I would trust anyone else. A year later, he's happy and healthy :)

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I will never again take my cat here. I've been waiting over 4 days to bring her home and every night when I call them they say she's doing we'll and can never give me a valid reason to why she's still there buuuutttt without fail every morning when I call and make plans to pick her up they hum and haa and find yet another reason to why they should keep her. Needless to say after 4 days I'm beyond frustrated and feed up with them. She's a 15 year old cat she doesn't need all this added stress and neither do I. I thought it was the best choice to take her here seeing as they specialize in cats and I want her to get the best care imaginable but instead it was the worst care she could have got! No one wants to answer questions and getting them to phone you back is a joke. So my personal recommendation is to NEVER take your cats here if you truely love them.

Dr. O'Brien is a kind and generous caregiver. Staff is informative and helpful. I'm never 'in a hurry' when I go to the clinic. I wouldn't want to be rushed in and out and feel that if the patient(s) ahead of me take a little more time, so be it. The Cat Clinic has been very good to my kitties for general health care and for life-saving situations over the past 12 years. Keep up the great work !

New to this vet since moving to Hamilton last year but VERY happy with their service to date. Staff is lovely and competent. Cat only clinic is a big plus for the kitties.

I have been going to the Cat Clinic for 25 years. My two cats have both experienced acute and potentially life threatening illness within the last 3 years and were treated with expertise, diligence and compassion. One currently has a chronic and complex illness and the front line staff, vet techs and vets themselves are outstanding. They appreciate your anxiety and do everything they can to make you and their little patients feel better!!! I have dealt primarily with Drs. Jackson and O'Brien and they are both outstanding!! The followup and inpatient care following emergency clinic visits was fantastic. I ask alot of questions and they are always happy to explain. The clinic may be busier than it was 25 years ago, however, the amount of time spent with the cats and the quality of the visits has never changed.

We have 3 cats and all are treated regularly at the clinic with no complaints. Staff are friendly and helpful, Dr's are attentive and knowledgeable and facilities are clean and well maintained. Costs are always explained fully and if a less expensive option exists it's explained and offered.

I love this cat clinic. I have been taking my two cats there. My last cat (Rikki) died last November, and they sent me a card that put me into tears. They are so kind!

I've been bringing my cats to The Cat Clinic for about 14 years and could not be happier with the client services and the medical care. In fact at this point I consider them extended family, and with Dr. O'Brien being one of only a few board certified feline specialists in the country I would feel very uncomfortable taking my cats any where else, or even moving from this city. I only wish I'd found this clinic sooner, because I know some of my other cats would have lived longer if they'd been in their care. 3 of the most important things to me about The Cat Clinic are the friendly & compassionate atmosphere, their ability to teach clients how to confidently care for chronically ill cats at home, and the payment options.

I've been taking my two cats to the Cat Clinic for about three years now, and have no complaints. The cost may seem high to some, based on previous reviews, but as someone from Toronto who now lives in Hamilton, I assure you that the cost is less than what I have paid at other veterinary clinics in the past. The punctuality issue is a valid one, but I have never been rushed in my appointments there, which is appreciated. I'm sure the clients before us who took the extra time with their vet appreciated that time as well, so I can't complain too loudly about having to wait an extra 20 minutes here or there. They always call and follow up with our cats after a procedure, which I've never experienced elsewhere. I know they care about my two boys, and that means a lot.

The staff are amazing! They genuinely care about you and your feline loved ones, and I wouldn't take my furry babies anywhere else! Dr. O'Brien is the BEST vet there is - if you're lucky enough to get her during your visit, she really takes her time with you and is patient and caring towards you and your cat. I highly recommend them! Oh, and they do a LOT of wonderful work for strays and feral kitties and those most in need. So admirable!

I have taken my cats to The Cat Clinic for many years. I have always felt that the Doctors and Staff are mainly concerned with the health of my cats. I am more than willing to pay a little more for the excellent care my cats receive here.

I will never return to this vet clinic. They seemed like they were all about the money and not so much the welfare of the cats. The vets were knowledgeable but seemed to be annoyed by question I had about my cat. Also I got my one cat spayed here and I felt so bad about it she just seemed to be in so much pain, she wasn't eating, barely moving, and when I called the vet back to let them know what was going on and maybe get some pain meds for my cat all they told me was this is normal and should go away within a week. My last issue with this vet is my cat can be a little temperamental at the vet and I let the vets know in advance of this and still when she acted up they made me feel like a bad pet owner for allowing her to act like that. All in all they are over-priced, bad with cats and I will never return

I have been taking my cats to the Cat Clinic for about 7 years now. THey can be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for! The vets are all very caring. The clinic is very clean. THe staff is friendly. They went out of their way to help me with my dying cat, and helped me make the right decision, and followed up with a sympathy card after she passed away. I will continue to take my cats to the Cat Clinic for as long as I have them and live in the area.

Pretty good service but very expensive. Rural vets seem to be cheaper. They put my very old cat down in my home which is a good service as he can pass in his own home with less stress. Mobile vet van is a good idea for house calls.

been taking my diabetic cat there for almost two years. Dr.O'Brien has been excellent, and so have all the staff. Had lots of follow ups until I was comfortable with insulin injections. They are caring, supportive, and always take time for explanations.

I have been here several times and I think the place is pretty good and Dr.O'Brien is a great vet. The big problem is that the staff doesn't give good service and they have a really small waiting area. That is a serious problem because you normally have to wait a long time to get in. It is normal to wait about 30 minutes and no one will say anything to you, like "sorry for the wait." Etc. They seem to be quite cavalier about taking up my time and then getting a couple hundred dollars off of me. The last time I went I waited over 45 mins. for an appointment scheduled 2 weeks in advance. No one said anything to me as I cooled my heels with my kitty in the doorway. I finally got fed up and walked out. I was supposed to be dropping $500 on a surgery there and I think I merit prompt courteous care and so does my kitty. It is stressful to all concerned.

I'm not sure how comfortable I am continuing to bring my cat here. I once asked that the exam room be sprayed with Feliway to calm my cat down (he is animal-aggressive and can be vicious). I was told that they weren't going to do it because the receptionist "didn't want to open a fresh package". My other big problem with them is they are always trying to push the food they sell. my cat went in to see the vet with what I thought were ear mites. The vet insisted it wasn't and it "must be his food" and tried to sell me a huge bag of food. My cat's problem? Dirty ears.

I've taken my cat to this clinic several times. They have such great and caring staff. They stayed late when my cat was very ill. The clinic itself is very cozy and the staff take their time to explain every thing to you and communicate things very clearly. I cannot say enough about this clinic and their wonderful staff.
