Click to report rating    1/21/11 Some of the staff are friendly. We had seen Dr. Marr for quite a few years, but she gradually became unreliable. Appointments would be canceled or there would be a substitute vet. Facilities were very clean, but have started to get worse. Appointments were usually on-time, but Dr. Marr would constantly cancel. As to the monetary value, we feel that we were prescribed unnecessary prescriptions, especially after our new Vet took our animals off all the prescriptions that they had been on for years. After reading about Dr. Marr's drug abuse and revoked license, we decided to go elsewhere. Also the Vet techs recommended a new Vet for us that was closer to our house. RID: 22251
Click to report rating    9/17/09 Drove in from Wayzata to bring my new kitten for the free check up visit. Nobody checked me in or asked for my name. office was very chaotic. Vet didn't thoroughly check the kitten (less than 5 minutes with her, asked if there were any problems, and I was free to go. I'm not sure she's off the painkillers yet since I asked her questions (which I knew the answers to and didn't get coherent answers). For example, one question was what's the difference of spaying a 2 month old kitten vs. a 6 month kitten. (She was pushing a 2 pound kitten spay.) She started comparing spaying a kitten to an 80 pound dog. That's not what I specifically asked. I also got a tour of the sugery suite - should not have been done as my being there with kitten in tow ads to the germ content. Also, they were pro declawing - which most vets aren't so that was my first tip off not to go back. After my visit I started checking her out and found out about her reprimends. After the visit I had, I WILL NOT go back. RID: 14298
Click to report rating    1/23/09 Dr. Marr has a wonderful hospital, which offers a lot of services. However, I brought my brand new puppy to her practice a few years ago to get spayed, and she actually ended up dying on the table. the Doc. told me it was quite common for animals to die on the table during a surgery. Being knowlegable in the Vet field, I know that this is NOT TRUE. Many Veterinarians only lose a handful of spay/neuter patients in their entire career. Dr. Marr says she looses one once a month or so. That was a red flag for me, and never returned when I got a new puppy. Later, i heared that she was busted by the Board of Veterinary Medicine for taking pain killers while at work, and being high during surgeries and other doctor visits with patients. DO NOT go to her clinic! She was put on probation by the board, but DO NOT TRUST HER. she is not a good vet at all. She is rude to her technicians, and there is no receptionist. do not risk your pets health by brining them to MPCC. RID: 11345
