I brought my cat to this vet, a new resident to the neighborhood and they are located close by, due to a lump on her back which ended up being a bite wound in need of stitches. my cat has not been the same since. They destroyed her. She is completely deaf from an ear cleaning. If the male technician who cleaned her ears treated her the way he did when cleaning her wound in front of me, it is definitely his fault she is deaf. She stopped eating and lost 3 pounds in a week and developed Hornes disease an eye issue. She continues to cry out during the night very loudly a symptom of her new deafness. I get no sleep. The vets here talk around the issues but the chief of staff and the male technician damaged my cat for good. She now also has bathroom issues urinating around the house. This was a perfectly healthy cat until we entered "the butchers of Baldwin" vet office. And it is a filthy, old office and I should have seen that as a sign. Warning, don't go there!!

The office is filthy. There is a fish tank in the office that hasn't been cleaned in years. The office manager is rude and curt. They put you in a room with your animal and make you wait for over 45 minutes to see a vet. Prices are ridiculous. This is not a place where you will find true, compassionate animal lovers. Will never go back there again and I suggest you don't either.

The Baldwin Harbor Animal Hospital would be a great facility, if the doctor's were not simply concerned with making money. At times they put a good act on about caring about the animals being seen, but it is clear that their entire purpose is making as much money as they possibly can from you until your pet expires. It is truly disheartening to have the care of your pet in the hands of individuals who have one thing on their mind. If you are considering taking your pet there, either be sure you have insurance or are extremely wealthy. They will take blood tests, which results will come back "inconclusive", only to need to retake them multiple times within the same few days. In most instances you would think they would have some reasonable solution, understanding that not everyone has $500 to spend on ONE blood test. However, they do not understand such logic and will charge you each time the tests come back as "inconclusive".

I've been going here for over 15 years, but recently decided to switch elsewhere. I'm extremely disappointed in the professionalism of the technicians and front desk. I no longer trust them to provide my animals with good care. This animal hospital has really gone down in the past few years!

The vets and staff at this animal hospital are THE BEST. Thay really care about the animals.

Dr. Dattner and Dr. Chandler are great with the animals. Tey take the time to talk to you and will do all they can for your pet.
