My five year old dog has ALWAYS gotten ALL vaccinations EVERY year, and I keep all records as proof. Trying not to overvaccinate, I politely asked this vet to omit bordetella this year because among experts in canine imunology, the bordetella vaccine is contraindicated for well ventilated situations like dog parks. When I requested that this vet fill out paperwork so my dog can go to the dog park without bordetella, she refused explaining that my dog is perfectly healthy and therefore needs the full battery of vaccines again this year. They also tried to sell me a dog influenza vaccine. Flu shots for dogs?!?!? Big Pharma and the pushers, I mean doctors, are out of control.
