I find Dr.Lau to be compassionate to both animals and humans. You can tell rite away he is a good person. I appreciate that he does not overcharge for services. He has many years of experience which I find good and bad. He knows what he is doing, but i find that he has an old-school view on medicine. So, he does not overdo all these unnecessary tests (great! because you don't end up with a huge surprise bill at the end of your visit). But at the same time the neurotic part of me wonders if he isn't being thorough enough. I've been going to him for alittle over a year now. So, I guess time will tell. Also, his staff seem very knowledgeable and are very helpful.

I spent an hour an half doing online research for respectable Vet clinics on the island, which would not require you to take out a small loan from the bank in order to care for your pet. When we arrived at the clinic, the receptionist stated that Dr. Lau was engaged with another pet and would not be free for 30 minutes. Within 5 minutes, Dr. Lau walked out of the examining room, and within 2 minutes, he called my family and I back for screening purposes. He was very thorough in his screening and has a true passion of concern for animals. From there my expectations were in uncharted waters, due to the fact that it was time to render payment for services. You can imagine the relief both my better half and I engaged when the receptionist stated that the total bill was $39.00. Simply stated, if you take your pet anywhere else on the island, you're missing out on the best kept secret. Just save yourself the time & stress, and know that you and your pet are in good hands with Dr. Lau

Dr. Lau is the best veterinarian around! He has great rates and great service, I would recommend him to anyone. He is always accommodating and compassionate to both animals and people!

All around great vet. New location. Not in Kalihi anymore, S. Beretania St. Brand new office, 2 doctors on duty most of the time. Lots of parking. Frequently same day surgury. Not quite as inexpensive as Blue Cross, but close. Less of a wait so it balances out for people more in a hurry but still saves you money. Dr. Lau is very nice, be prepared to talk story!
