Dr. kanfer was the best vet here, she has now moved to her own practice in pasadena. I will fallow her! she is an amazing vet and person. Animal house is a bit pricey but you get good results for what you pay. Ultimately we are there for our pets to get healthy and they do deliver on that part. I have always been treated nicely by the staff. Try to understand (those of you bashing everyone) that these people are very busy and are trying to get your pets files together, they dont always have time to be the most curtious people on earth. I really dont think bashing the whooole hospital for one or 2 people being rude is appropriate. Good Hospital, good knowledegable Vets, good Groomer (annie). Go check them out.

The front office is the hospital's chance to make a great first impression. I've been completely ignored for almost 45 minutes after signing in. I've been talked down to and given attitude by their supervisor, Lisa, many times. I will do everything possible to avoid her. She is in the wrong business. The front staff that are always pleasant:Shannon & Nicole. They are helpful, patient, and kind to every client I've seen them talk with. On the tour I was given, Some dogs were walking in their own waste and seemed crowded, lots of dirty laundry, too. I didn't see anyone tending to the dogs. The cat area was freezing cold & drafty. Is Dr. Domotor in denial about what the hospital looks like to clients? I'd be embarassed. I've seen every vet they've ever had come and go. My favorite's didn't stay long enough: Dr. Hanser, Dr. Pai, Dr. Garcia, Dr. Dawson. Dr. Domotor is ok, but my pets never get to see her. Dr. Kanfer is great and explains things well. The prices are the highest in the area.

They give a first visit discount to rescue organizations and do what they can to help homeless pets. They were very understanding as well for the financial times.

The staff is very nice but seem stressed at times. The wait is long even if you have an appointment. Dr. Kanfer and Dr. Holmes are both very nice and I trust them with my pets. The nurses were friendly and showed kindness to my cats. The other complaint I have is the prices. I have been to another local vet and it is way cheaper to go there. Also I saw one doctor(she was short) yelling at one of the recieptionist because she wasn't quick enough to help her out. I thought that was a bit sad to see.

I just took my rabbit in for a comprehensive exam. The staff were all nice, and the nurse and Dr. Kanfer were exceptional with my rabbit. I had to wait a bit, but not too long, and they've got tons of neat rabbit brochures and information to read, so I wasn't bored during the wait. I put the monetary value as three, because 60 dollars is a bit much for how quickly a checkup is over, and how easily it's done. But that's how much pretty much all vets charge, so it's nothing against this vet.

We have been going here for 6 or 7 years and have always felt my animals (many) have been treated very well. We lost a very special dog a few months ago and the WHOLE hospital was great to us and our sweet boy. We currently have 4 pets and they are in varying degrees of health and age. It is true sometimes you have to wait-but when it is our turn--we NEVER feel slighted. My biggest complaint is the turnover of front desk staff. My favorite gal is no longer there (Jane) and I do miss her. I love Dr. Domotor and am truly surprised by some of the comments left on this site. My animals have always been diagnosed correctly and while expensive, I don't think their prices are worse than anywhere else. All extended family members also use this vet and we ALL board here when we leave town. Facilities are always clean and I am truly sorry some people seem to have had a bad experience. I almost doubt some of their motives. Hope not.

The doctors may be nice, but dealing with the disorganized and stressed out receptionists makes going to this clinic unpleasant. We are new to the area and have only been there a few times for minor things, but after our last visit, we will not be back. The front desk staff are actually rude to the clients, extremely disorganized and openly hostile toward each other. On our last visit, one of the techs stated that she would "never drink vodka again" after being asked if she felt better. It's unfortunate that the doctors don't do more to address this situation. Ultimately, they will be the ones to pay the price for their employees' bad attitudes.

Horrible place that almost killed my dog when boarded there. Dr. Domotor even admitted wrongdoing on their part. They have incompetent people watching the animals. Will never go back and have told all local animal lovers of their awful practice that just cares about money and not the animals well being.

We had been taking our dog here for over 6 years. Our dog came down with an illness and had to go 4 times between July and August 2007. We had scheduled appointments and still waited 30-45 mins. We realized they were taking on too many patients and didn't have the time for our dog like they once had. We also noticed that most of the friendly front staff that were once there had been replaced. We have never seen Dr. Domotor in the 6 years we were going. She has several vets on her staff assisting her. Anyways, the vet could not find anything wrong with our dog so we went for a second opinion. Lucily, there is more than one vet in Monrovia. She is currently being treated for Autoimmune Hymolytic Anemia and our new vet and staff are very friendly and caring. I would have posted this earlier, however I never new this site existed.

We have found most of the staff to be very friendly and considerate in regard to our senior dogs, however, the front end is very often overwhelmed with VERY limited levels of management or oversight. When THEY error in regard to what was requested, they don't take ownership and attempt to make excuses. Wait times can, at times be ridiculous, even when appointments have been made. Most of the doctors seem caring and qualified, however, this is tempered by the inefficient front end staff, and management. Additionally, they are quite expensive and charge for "treats" and "hazardous waste" (which they explained was needles). I'm sorry, I have yet to be charge hazardous waste for a visit to a MD, medical lab, accupuncturist, or other health facility. This past summer when temperatures were sweltering, Dr D was busy getting multiple bids to fix her AC, as her staff, patients and customers suffered. Definitely a gold mine for her, despite her kindly demeanor and smile.

I have been going to this office for about a year & 1/2. I have had nothing but good experiences with the front desk staff. The only vet I have seen is Dr. Kanfer, who has been exceptional. They are a busy office so sometimes there is a short wait.

I had several animals being treated for terminal illnesses. During their treatment, the staff would "pretend" to love my animals too, but once they died, the staff was completely cold and heartless to me. Only ONE staff member said anything nice to me and Dr. Domotor herself completely avoided me. Even when I wrote her a letter telling her of my bad treatment, she didn't respond. I have been so unhappy with how I have been treated personally during these deaths that I am no longer going to be using her as a vet.

Vets very caring and knowledgeable. Visits are thorough, includes weight, temperature and exam of mouth. Some vets won't do this brief exam. Facility is clean, well managed. I trust leaving my pet there.
