Dr. Ted Eudy saw our dog. She has been prescribed the same medicine for years (Mometamax), but he refused to give her the same, saying that it hurt her ears. He prescribed a holistic medicine that has absolutely not worked, despite costing more than the old reliable. Our dog suffered needlessly for a reason unknown to us. We changed vets, and were relieved to get the old medicine on the first visit.

I brought my rabbit with snuffles (respiratory infection) here to see Jean Lauer, DVM. I appeared to know more about the diagnosis & proper course of treatment than the vet, who consulted the Merck Veterinary Manual in my presence, saying she didn't see many rabbits in her practice (which no doubt is true). I was given rabbit-safe antibiotics which took care of the illness in my bunny. I understand Dr. Lauer competently does spay/neuter rabbits and can be recommended for these. Cedarwood Vet is a small vet clinic and less expensive than other vets around town. I liked the friendly staff and family feel of the place, although the physical plant looks a bit tired. This may keep prices lower than elsewhere.

Dr. Treitler and his staff are the hands down best veterinarians in Santa Fe. He was able to spot a problem with our german shepherd after our dog had gone to a specialist who found nothing wrong. His staff knows almost everyone by name, and they are all very concerned about the care their patients receive. He is extremely knowledgeable and caring, even staying late to return phone calls.
