Dog was to be cremated with ashes returned to owner. They "made a mistake" and he was put into a mass grave in PA.

I just want others to know what a huge disappointment this vet practice turned out to be. I have a cat and what they kept treating as a cold with numerous meds, later was found to be a life threatening illness. ODAHC did not discover this, and almost cost me my cat, whom I adore, her life because of there Band Aid doctor skills. I agree with the other review in that if you feel a hefty price tag, a gift shop, abundance of doctors who have no communication with one another as to the well being of your pet, and a new adolescent working at the desk everytime you check in, is a good vet. Well then you will feel right at home here, because a good show is about all you should expect. There is absolutely nothing positive about my experience with any doctor that was seen in my time with ODAHC. I will be sure and tell everyone who is looking for a real veterinarian with compassion for your sick loved one to not waste your time and money with ODAHC. They put the screws to you with a smile.

My first visit was in 2003, where I payed a exuberant amount for my long haired cat to get a summer cut and a bath.I didn't think much of it as everything in the DC area is double the price of many other regions. I am very punctual with shots and preventative care as a pet owner, so I went back for the following years and was satisfied. After boarding my cat though for a week in a Pet Resort in Alexandria, Virginia she developed a horrible cough. I immediately took her to ODAHC, where they did x-rays, prescribed a bunch of meds, and diagnosed her with a upper respiratory. Well needless to say after a month of going back and forth in desperation to get my cat better and a emergency trip on a Saturday night nothing was better. Major break down in communication among doctors, experimental medicine with a very non chalant attitude, no calls to see how she was, money hungry, and a very impersonal feel..after $2600 later with a Cats only doctor, we are recovering. SAY NO to ODAHC.
