Frequently over booked and wait times are typically very long. The standard of care is very low. My dog has allergies and instead of allergy testing(which I eventually did at another vet) the doctor was continually prescribing my dog steroids! Long term use of steroids is NOT good, and he didn't seem very concerned about it. I also had let my dogs heartworm preventative laspe for one month and when I mentioned testing him to start him back the technician told me it wasn't necessary. It's ILLEGAL to sell heartworm preventative without a current heartworm teat or if a dog has lapsed. The standard of care at this clinic is horrible. It's definitely the Wal-Mart of vet clinics in the Athens area. I will never take my dog here again! My new vet is more expensive but my dog gets much better care!

I had a dog with a serious medical issue that no one told me it was that serious. My dog died and I feel that they did not let me know that was even a possibility. I don't feel that everything was done to help my dog. The staff is rude and snobby. I don't think I will take any more pets to this vet.

Dr. Cole was absolutely awesome in the examination of the abscess on my girlfriend's cat. Unfortunately, the billing staff severely under-quoted the treatment and the assistant recommended blood work that was not needed which another staff member admitted. My girlfriend called and politely asked about the $40 difference in the quote and the staff member told her "I don't know what to tell you" and that they would call her back. Which they never did, but sent a form email thanking my girlfriend for her business. Then my girlfriend emailed them explaining the situation again politely upset only to have another staff member email saying that they tried contacting her (neither of us received any calls only the form email) and that it was a "quote" or "estimate" and that is a grey area. Understood, but the original quote was $100. the bill was $40 more. That's 40% off. Not acceptable.
