I took 2 pet chickens in for bumblefoot and mouth lesions. We had treated the bumblefoot at home & it appeared to be healing well. The vet didn't know how to hold the bird to remove the bandage. We wanted to make sure it wasn't contagious (like trichomoniasis) to our other birds. She did an incorrect specimen sample then said "the test was inconclusive", "It could be a vitamin deficiency", and "if it's trichomoniasis, there's not really anything we can do because the antibiotics we would typically use have been banned in livestock animals". When asked if there were any alternatives she said "not that I know of" and suggested I "Google it". The lack of knowledge by this vet was astounding. They do not return calls, refuse to take messages or hear complaints. Today, I was hung up on 4 times! Dr. Churney is an excellent avian vet but the staff is extremely unprofessional and unsupportive. Dr. DenHerder was amazing. Too bad his successors don't hold the same standards.

The very best treatment available! Wonderful caring staff. Jerry DenHerder has an innate sense of what your pets are experiencing. I have been going to Dr.Den Herder for almost 40 years. He is the best!!!! Thank You to the entire staff for all your healing and consideration!!!

They genuinely care for and love all animals. They treat them with respect, explain every thing to you so that you are able to make informed decisions for your fur babies. They do not try to push vaccinations on your pets and if your pet does not need it-sometimes will recommend not to. Always there when you need them. Prince Charming is not very social and does not like a lot of people. HE Absolutely Loves Dr Jerry Den Herder, and does not mind going to the vet at all.
