Had good service since 1999 but on March 15, 2011 my dog of 14yrs 8mts was having problem with pain but no outward bodily trauma. She would belch followed by howling which she had NEVER done before. I had no idea what was wrong so I called the emergency number. The on-call vet, Dr. Samuelson(not my regular vet)answered and was very put off that I had called. I explained what was going on & what my dog was doing & all he said was "I think she has an upset stomach, you can bring her in if you want". I was dumb-founded. He didn't ask any of her medical history, age or type of dog. Didn't even ask who her vet was. She died a painful death about 5hrs later on March 16, 2011. When I googled dog stomach problems the next week @ work(no computer @ home)I saw several sites that told me she had "BLOAT" and described the symptons I saw, age and body types common to. I was BLOWN away and if I'd had this info would have taken her in at once. Dr. Samuelson is a terrible vet. DON'T USE HIM AT ALL!!!!
