Click to report rating    9/27/09   2     4     2     1   It appears that their interests lie more in the business end of veterinary care, that is making as much money as they can. I recently had one of my cats put to sleep. I was told after a brief 2-3 minute evaluation of my cat that she would need to be hospitalized with blood work done. Costs would be $150 for blood work, and $350 for hospitalization. Those quotes didn't include boarding my cat or drugs. I knew that I'd actually be looking at probably $1000 as a total bill. When I stated that I'd decided to have my pet euthanized, I was told that cost would be another $100 plus an additional $43 dollars for the 3-4 minute evaluation. Then I was told that if I wanted the ashes returned to me, that would cost yet an additional $100. I learned later that my cat likely even with hospitalization would only have lived perhaps another month if that. The vets didn't tell me that. I'll be looking for another vet. I still have my $1000. I've lost my pet. They're interested in money only. RID: 14431
