This veterinary clinic did surgery on my dog, and then she wound up with an infection requiring another hospital stay. Apparently they are all about making as much money as they can possibly squeeze out of each customer. All services are prepaid, and there are no payment plans other than to put it on a credit card. I was warned by another vet in the area not to take my pets there because they overcharge so badly. The follow up appointment for my own surgery was included in the initial cost, but not my dog's. I'm surprised they don't have a cover charge just to come into Hawthorne Animal Hospital. The veterinary care appears to be good so far, but my dog is still there fighting for her life and I'm only about $4200 in so far. I would not recommend Hawthorne Animal Hospital to the average individual looking for veterinary care. If you're extremely wealthy, however, then they will be more than happy to relieve you of some of your wealth.

Horrible. All they care about is maximizing their profits -- not the welfare of your pet. Unless money is no object for you, DO NOT go to this clinic. They will jeopardize your pet's health for the sake of their greed.
