Dr. Klarman has always gotten me and my dogs in any time of the day or night. He's an excellent diagnostician and has great medical/surgical skills for treating small dogs. He and his wife worked with one of my dogs when she was in renal failure and another dog when she had a mast cell tumor. He saved the life of one dog when she had a severe allergic reaction, and another dog when she had severe problems with hypoglycemia as a puppy. They got me a referral to a cancer specialist at the U of Ill for the dog with the mast cell tumor. We had to move out of the area, but even then, I still went back to his office for any of my dogs when they had serious problems. I haven't yet found a veterinary office that offers the same kind of personal, skilled care that we got at his office.

This is not a good vet to go to. He cares about animals but his facility is just not clean at all. I worked for him and I switched vets.

dr klarman is okay if you can get past his endless stories of "i had a dog in here last week that had" and on and on. you have to keep dr klarman focused on your pet or you will be in there forever. he is kind of expensive on everything but an okay vet.
