STAY AWAY!! Vets are inexperienced. They recommend every test there is to get more money. Took my 16 year old dog in for an eye infection and they said because he was new to the clinic I could not get any of his medications filled until he had more bloodwork and then they never called with results. I tried to get a prescription that he's been on for months refilled and was told he had to come in for an office visit. I asked why and was told that was policy but they would have someone call me back. This was two days ago and I have heard nothing. I'm a 55 year old life long pet owner and this is the WORST Vet office I have ever been to. NEVER going back.

Warning....stay away from these vets. The work done does not get documented in the pets records. Doctors come and go like a revolving door and once they are gone the you start from square one.
STAY FAR FAR AWAY. Someone should bring a lawsuit against them.

I would caution anyone taking there pet to this practice.I have a nine month old Cocker who was brought to them for vomiting ( 2 times )and as a result of the doctor doing expensive testing/x-rays the diagnosis was that he had some type of clothe material blocking his intestinal track and required surgery right away. Well 5 hours later and $2100.00 spent......there was nothing but maybe I qoute a "GAS POCKET" in him! Result was 6 inche incision, 3 hours of surgery, tons of meds, and recovery for this poor 9 month old puppy that just had "GAS".

I have read the posts of others on this site and I honestly have not had any negative experiences here. I had a 16 year old rabbit that past away last year. Dr. DeVos took wonderful care of him and the rest of the staff always loved to see him when he came for a visit. The girls at the front desk always say hello to my pets. When I got my new rabbit and brought him in for my first check up everyone came over to me to see him. Taking your pet to the vet can be very expensive, but it is nice to know that they are getting the proper care that they need and deserve. Dr. DeVos has not pushed for unnecessary procedures to be done. I feel confident that when I take my pets to HAC that they are getting the proper care that they need. I also board my pets there and have never had problems. I relocated to NY and still bring my pets here! It is actually cheaper for me to make the 2 hour trip.

We like Dr. Liam who has been taking care of my special needs adoptee for quite some time, as well as my dog before her. Bad experience with DeVoss. I am in the process of changing to another practice, however. Just way to expensive here! I can never get out of the office, no matter what we are there for, for less than $150.00. They quoted me $800 to get my dogs teeth cleaned, unless he's getting a full set of dentures, ARE YOU KIDDING? The vet we're changing to is charging us $400.00 and that's with also having a tooth pulled!

The facility is as clean as any humans' hospital. The doc's seem to be well eductade and kind. Testing is the only way they can be sure they know what the problem is. Sure its' expensive. So is the state of the art equipment they use.How much do you care about your pet? Do you go to the cheapest doctor when you have pain or symptoms? You get what you pay for. Look around/call around like I did and you'll find that they don't charge any more than others BUT they do reccomend more tests than some which I believe is to verify the diagnosis not for just blatent overcharging.

I used this vet practice for five years before I moved away and I have yet to find a practice in my current location that devotes the same amount of time, energy, and kindness to my pets. I've been gone for two years and they still ask about me through another friend who uses them.
One of my dogs has a chronic condition and the staff would meet to discuss the best treatment options and then routinely call me to check up on her. Sure, it's not always cheap, but my feeling is that if you can't afford good care for your pets, you shouldn't have them.
You get what you pay for. If you want cheap shots, go to Petco during one of their clinics. Cheap spay? Call a shelter.
Thoughtful, thorough, good healthcare? Call Hamilton.

I first met this vet shortly after vet school while employed locally for another vet who I consider one of the best. Her attitude was incredible, she didn't listen to a thing I was saying. I have been breeding dogs for over 30 yrs. Her idea was a dog is a dog. I reported her to the owner and she left shortly thereafter. I was amazed she was able to open her own practice with so little experience. Since then I have heard few positive comments about her diagnosis ability....or lack thereof. Good luck to anyone using her. I hope her personality has drastically improved over the years.

Scibetta and husband are veterinarians and own the place. They are animal lovers without a doubt but they are into the almighty buck too. They have a bad philosophy of not believing the receptionist should have any animal contact or opinion so be prepared to be treated by receptionists without personality: its very weird. Prices typically high and receptionists are robots....they have to be to work there!!
