Click to report rating    1/3/22   1     2     2     2   Dr Pawlinski - thought she was a very caring person. After 3 calls I had to drive to the office to find out about an antibiotic for my dogs UTI. No one called me. After stopping in in person I decided to give it one more try. Asked for the Manager, Casey, to call me. It’s been two weeks and no call. Only get to leave a message - imagine that. After spending close to $2000 in only a few months I feel it’s all about the money. Sadly, I will be moving on to a facility that cares. RID: 70199
Click to report rating    7/24/19   1     1     1     1   STAY AWAY!! Vets are inexperienced. They recommend every test there is to get more money. Took my 16 year old dog in for an eye infection and they said because he was new to the clinic I could not get any of his medications filled until he had more bloodwork and then they never called with results. I tried to get a prescription that he's been on for months refilled and was told he had to come in for an office visit. I asked why and was told that was policy but they would have someone call me back. This was two days ago and I have heard nothing. I'm a 55 year old life long pet owner and this is the WORST Vet office I have ever been to. NEVER going back. RID: 68388
Click to report rating    5/23/18   1     1     1     1   Warning....stay away from these vets. The work done does not get documented in the pets records. Doctors come and go like a revolving door and once they are gone the you start from square one. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. Someone should bring a lawsuit against them. RID: 66190
Click to report rating    1/22/13   1     3     1     1   I would caution anyone taking there pet to this practice.I have a nine month old Cocker who was brought to them for vomiting ( 2 times )and as a result of the doctor doing expensive testing/x-rays the diagnosis was that he had some type of clothe material blocking his intestinal track and required surgery right away. Well 5 hours later and $2100.00 spent......there was nothing but maybe I qoute a "GAS POCKET" in him! Result was 6 inche incision, 3 hours of surgery, tons of meds, and recovery for this poor 9 month old puppy that just had "GAS". RID: 39823

4/11/12   5     5     5     5   I have read the posts of others on this site and I honestly have not had any negative experiences here. I had a 16 year old rabbit that past away last year. Dr. DeVos took wonderful care of him and the rest of the staff always loved to see him when he came for a visit. The girls at the front desk always say hello to my pets. When I got my new rabbit and brought him in for my first check up everyone came over to me to see him. Taking your pet to the vet can be very expensive, but it is nice to know that they are getting the proper care that they need and deserve. Dr. DeVos has not pushed for unnecessary procedures to be done. I feel confident that when I take my pets to HAC that they are getting the proper care that they need. I also board my pets there and have never had problems. I relocated to NY and still bring my pets here! It is actually cheaper for me to make the 2 hour trip. RID: 33473
Click to report rating    3/2/12   3     5     5     2   We like Dr. Liam who has been taking care of my special needs adoptee for quite some time, as well as my dog before her. Bad experience with DeVoss. I am in the process of changing to another practice, however. Just way to expensive here! I can never get out of the office, no matter what we are there for, for less than $150.00. They quoted me $800 to get my dogs teeth cleaned, unless he's getting a full set of dentures, ARE YOU KIDDING? The vet we're changing to is charging us $400.00 and that's with also having a tooth pulled! RID: 32594
Click to report rating    1/17/12   5     5     5     5   We have been taking our dogs here for 7 years. The staff has always been awesome. We actually had to put our two dogs down and the whole staff was so compassionate and understanding. We now have a new puppy and are taking him here also. Dr. Betz and her staff is just the best! They always explain things so that we understand them...take their time with us and never rush us. We wouldn't think of taking our dogs any where else! RID: 30611

Click to report rating    1/16/11   5     5     5     4   I took my dog there for seven years and I always felt he was well taken care of in every way. The staff were always very interested in him and concerned. At the end of his life they could NOT have been more kind and loving toward both of us. RID: 22116
Click to report rating    9/30/10   5     5     4     5   A great place to bring your 4-legged family members! They are all caring, thoughtful, and take the time needed to explain things. The hospital is the cleanest one I have ever been in, and they take great pride in that. There expertise is second to none, and I have been to many animal hospitals in my many job related moves. Do yourself and your pets a favor and check them out, you will not be disappointed! RID: 20000
Click to report rating    9/19/10   4     5     5     4   The facility is as clean as any humans' hospital. The doc's seem to be well eductade and kind. Testing is the only way they can be sure they know what the problem is. Sure its' expensive. So is the state of the art equipment they use.How much do you care about your pet? Do you go to the cheapest doctor when you have pain or symptoms? You get what you pay for. Look around/call around like I did and you'll find that they don't charge any more than others BUT they do reccomend more tests than some which I believe is to verify the diagnosis not for just blatent overcharging. Click to report rating    2/20/09   5     5     5     4   I used this vet practice for five years before I moved away and I have yet to find a practice in my current location that devotes the same amount of time, energy, and kindness to my pets. I've been gone for two years and they still ask about me through another friend who uses them. One of my dogs has a chronic condition and the staff would meet to discuss the best treatment options and then routinely call me to check up on her. Sure, it's not always cheap, but my feeling is that if you can't afford good care for your pets, you shouldn't have them. You get what you pay for. If you want cheap shots, go to Petco during one of their clinics. Cheap spay? Call a shelter. Thoughtful, thorough, good healthcare? Call Hamilton. RID: 11699
Click to report rating    2/12/09   1     1     1     1   I will NEVER step foot in this vet office again! Drs. Scibetta & DeVos (who are married but use different names to confuse their clients), are truly the most horrible excuses for animal professionals I have ever met. The practice is over-priced, they scam you for every penny then can squeeze out of you, and when you can't afford anymore, they no longer have time for you. The staff are like robots with no personality, no feelings. The facility is ok, but I've seen better. I spent over $3000 on my dog here, got a second opinion at another local vet hospital, which only cost me $44, and the other vet solved my dog's problem for under $250! When I asked for my dog's records to be transferred to my NEW vet, Hamilton Animal Care REFUSED!!! Those are MY animals records and HAC has no legal right to them. By law, they MUST release them, but you have to threaten these people with a lawsuit before they'll comply. Do your pet a favor (and your wallet), stay clear of HAC! RID: 11605

6/9/08   2     2     2     1   I first met this vet shortly after vet school while employed locally for another vet who I consider one of the best. Her attitude was incredible, she didn't listen to a thing I was saying. I have been breeding dogs for over 30 yrs. Her idea was a dog is a dog. I reported her to the owner and she left shortly thereafter. I was amazed she was able to open her own practice with so little experience. Since then I have heard few positive comments about her diagnosis ability....or lack thereof. Good luck to anyone using her. I hope her personality has drastically improved over the years. RID: 8808
Click to report rating    8/16/07   1     2     1     1   If you want to hear the truth about Hamilton Animal Care, here it is..it's all about the mighty dollar. 4 yrs. ago our pure bred cat was allegedly "diagnosed" with FIP. Cats with FIP barely live a year, let alone 4 years. After she got sick again, I took her to another vet to have her re-tested. Those results came back NEGATIVE for FIP (keep in mind, a cat cannot be cured of this disease). When our new vet asked HAC for the previous lab results, Lisa denied our request, so we went directly to the lab. The orginial test results were ALSO NEGATIVE!!! All they wanted was the money for the "preventative" shots we were suppoed to give our 3 other cats. After much research we found out that if we would have given the other cats the monthly shots they still had a 57% chance of catching FIP. If we refrained, they only had a 12% of it catching from her. You do the math! There are HORROR stories I can tell you about this vet! Stay AWAY from Hamilton Animal Care! Don't board there either! Click to report rating    2/1/07   2     5     4     4   staff oh boy! they seem nice however i have seen the way the girls at the front seem to be like forbidden to get close to a client and their pets there not allowed to be close to the animals it almost feel like you go into a dentist office instead of a vet although my dentist staff are so friendly they come around the counter to hug my son. it is very weird its like they're been control by a remote control i actually feel bad for them as i hear they're terrified of the boss mrs Scibetta which is they're main vet. facility it's very clean usually run on time and see your pet when ever needed it is expensive while other vets charge only $13.00 for a distemper and rabies they charge $18.00 it is a very unusual place.it is good to be a professional facility but when you take the sense of humor of the staff it isn't a nice place to visit for your pets any more and if they choose this career i assume it's to be around animals not to just be in a chair controlled by remote controls. RID: 2405
Click to report rating    12/26/06   3     4     3     3   Scibetta and husband are veterinarians and own the place. They are animal lovers without a doubt but they are into the almighty buck too. They have a bad philosophy of not believing the receptionist should have any animal contact or opinion so be prepared to be treated by receptionists without personality: its very weird. Prices typically high and receptionists are robots....they have to be to work there!! RID: 1483
