Dr. Orr and his exceptional staff saved more than one of my bird's lives on more than one occasion. He is literally the best Avian vet in Utah; you can not get anyone better than him. I know because I've lived in a rural area for years where avian vets are nearly nonexistent. I am unable to drive and miss being able to take my birds to Dr. Orr. I recently had to take two of my elderly birds in to a vet who was about 25 miles away. I had to get a ride out there, and unfortunately, I didn't receive a lot of help from that veterinarian. I left with more questions than answers. The service Dr. Orr provides is not only top notch, but it's also extremely difficult to find anywhere else.

"Dr" Orr, should have his license taken away. How this man is allowed to work on animals still is beyond me. He is only in it for the money, and his knowledge is like that of a 5 year old.

I think Dr. Orr is a con artist. I spent a couple thousand dollars to get my pets cured. He diagnosed nothing, cured nothing, and never went over any of the x-rays or lab results I was charged for. He kept saying he needed more time to make a diagnosis. I went to another vet, and the new one figured out what was wrong with my pets. In my opinion, it was also very unprofessional of Dr. Orr to lecture me and try to guilt trip me about leaving. One of my pets may not make it now, but the new vet is doing what they can to save him.

Dr. Orr's only assett was his experienced staff which is no longer there. I have been a customer of his before he moved into his new building. The last time I took my birds to him I felt like they were much to stressed when they were returned to me. I did not recognize anyone working there and it was obvious they knew nothing about my birds. When I asked about familiar staff, I was told they no longer work there. None of them are there. THEY ARE ALL GONE! I wonder why they left? I have decided I can no longer take my pets to him. He has no staff that knows what to do!

Has all new (untrained/inexperienced) staff, knows ferrets but nothing about dogs/cats (see above comment), doesn't care about your pet unless you have lots of money to spend. Beware of extravagent prices for services never performed, and be prepared to wait. No emergency services, contrary to what the sign/ads say. Beware of "emergency drop-offs" - your animal won't be seen by him for hours at best. Rarely available or even in the facility.

I am not very impressed with Dr Orr, I probably would not recommend him at all.

I've been going here for years. He specializes in ferrets, birds and other exotics. He just started treating dogs and cats so I dumped my dog and cat vet and they go here now. I can't sing the praises of this vet any louder. He ROCKS!
