A vet here gave our guinea pig an injection for mites. Consequently, her left hind leg is now paralyzed (this was the site of the injection). Within a couple of days, she caught her lame foot on something in her cage and chewed off two toes to get loose. The vet even admits that he probably stuck her too deep in the muscle or that he hit a nerve, but he still has the gall to charge us for every subsequent visit. I can understand charging us for medicine or medical procedures, but he created this problem and we're paying the price. This carelessness on his part has cost us almost $400 now and our pig is getting worse every day. DO NOT take your pet here.
